  • Oi what happened to Michael Woolridge?

Was thinking about the combine athlete we signed... Michael Woolridge. What happened to old mate?

Reminds me a little bit of that 'NRL Rookie' thing that Freddy did. You get lotsa buzz when it's happening but then there's a small fizz and it's all over.

I could be wrong and we might see Woolridge playing 1st grade in 2025. However, I'd love to know where he's at.

Lou Goodwin won the Rookie but did his ACL early on in his stint with the Raiders. I think he's back playing bush footy with his brothers these days. No idea what happened to the other guy

Have you heard of the "League of Roosters"
The Roosters will enter a team in the Pacific Coast Rugby League conference as the Los Angeles Roosters for the 2025 season, so he may be part of this new team.
They will be the 26th team in the "League of Roosters which was set up by Nick Politis.
They will wear the Rooster Logo and are provided equipment and specialist training to align to the Roosters way

Lou Goodwin was a machine, had a lot of Boyd Cordner about him. One of the most impressive youngsters I ever saw in our U20's teams.

Can't remember the full extent of his story but pretty sure he struggled with the move away from home and ended up turning down NRL clubs to just go back home and play local footy.
