Agreed. It was a wild offer from a now sacked administrator who did ARU's equivalent of the former South Korean president's coup. There's no precedent for ARU to be paying overs for marquee NRL players (which Wong is not anyway).

If the Chooks keep signing guys that have a Rugby background then there will always be the chance they return to Rugby. It’s the same as signing young guys from Qld or NZ there is always the chance they will return to their roots.

I wouldn’t recommend that. It never works out
