Agree Nat is 27 I can’t see him getting any better, I do hope he improves and gets back to his 2022-23 form where he was talked about as a Smokey for rep sides
fell off this year - think the whole first child thing was on his mind

Egan was talked about as being the better brother but will be 25 this year, smaller body so will never have the power running game and doesn’t have the skillet like a Murray or rads to play 13
egan tries to hard at times and still misses crucial tackles and dropped pull to easily

im surprised we re signed him but can only hope it’s a cheap depth option as I can’t see him being a strong member of our top 17

It's subjective though and a few on here probably reached their peak in under 7's and never again laced a boot on in anger.

They are Roosters so get behind them

There is a difference between getting behind them and taking off rose coloured glasses. Blind freddy can see he hasn’t lived up to his potential. No reason why you can’t call it out. You’re not going to get shot by some russian sniper for doing so mun.

Egan butch would not send shivers down the spine of an under 10s side
still waiting to see this so called development

His role is to bring leg speed off the bench and push the pace, sometimes that means he is error prone. Struggles a little with size and contact in the middle but always shows good character and could slide onto an edge and play long mins if required within a game, so adds flexibility.

Showed a lot of potential early; hopefully he can shake that knee off and come good.

I don't mind Egan in the middle - as a former 5/8 i think the plan is he plays the ball playing prop role.
Definitely not the biggest but that never seemed to stop the likes of James Graham.

I would like to see a bit more aggression from him, and a bit less dropped balls.

Only 56 games - 21 as a starter and 35 from the bench.

It takes players several years to become comfortable and established as an NRL player depending on the position they play . I remember it being said that props don't hit their straps until they are around 28. - that would be around 150 games plus played by that stage

At 56 games you are still learning the trade

I've watched him at training numerous times and he has incredible hands for a forward. He must of played in the halves as a junior or wanted to be Andrew Johns when he was a kid. The potential is obviously there and the club can see it. Let's hope he has a great 2025 season!

I think it’s the baby face. I’d have to agree. It’s the second coming of Dallas Hood. In saying that, I think Egan definitely has more potential than Hood ever did.

I think Dancing Dallas gets a bad wrap - he had quite a good year in '00
We made a GF with a front row tandem of him, Scott Logan, Peter Cusack and Ian Rubin
None of whom were really known as forward leaders.

In saying that i certainly see the comparisons with Egan

Egan is trapped between 2 worlds. He wanted to play in the halves and now he is built like a mini brick shite house.

He'd be awesome on an edge if he can eliminate his silly ball handling errors!

Only 24, loads of upside, and is a lot better player than most on here give him credit for. And would be on very moderate money. A very good re-signing.

When did he want to play in the halves?
