What a load of crap he signed off on bringing Brandon Smith to the club in the aftermath of the white powder scandal and now he wants to pretend to have zero tolerance on the issue? Turn it up this club always talks self righteous crap and then proves themselves to be hypocrites we can't sign TPJ because he doesn't have the character to play for the club but Matt Lodge can come right in and we have a zero tolerance to cocaine and white powders but Brandon Smith is more than welcome.

Feel like there are better ways to say F you to the Broncos than putting a target on our back.

I get it from Politis’s side, managing corporate partners who play a large role in funding the players salaries is a difficult balancing act.

But you’re talking about the 2nd most popular drug in Australia, used most by men in their 20’s with high paying jobs. I’m sorry but there’s a level of delusion if you think multiple players in our squad haven’t done or don’t do it.

Roosters chair Nick Politis has vowed to kick out any player in his club caught using cocaine, regardless of the NRL's two-strike policy.

"My view is if somebody's caught doing cocaine or leaning over snorting something, we're going to get rid of them," Mr Politis told The Sunday Telegraph.

        "Our stance is zero tolerance."

"We are very strong on it. Trent (Robinson) is very strong on it."

Mr Politis said under the strong stance the Roosters will take, he considers bringing the club into disrepute with a "white powder" scandal was enough of a reason to sack a player.

"That's enough to do damage to a club," he said.

".....we want to send a message to kids, and to mums and dads, that our club has that sort of stance towards this sort of thing."

        All good.
Roosters Chairman is 100% correct with this policy.
        3 Questions.

        1. What was Terrell May doing in that video?
        2. Why were we told that Terrell May was moved on for no other reason other than our change in direction and new style of play?
        3. Why is Uncle Nick taking such a strong stance on this issue now?

Fark, if other clubs get onboard and adopt this action, we wouldn't have many quality players or much of a competition.

Sniff is really social nowadays and it's the silly ones who put themselves into compromising situations that will suffer.

I know Nick is trying to drive change but as someone pointed out, would he and coach have the balls to sack a star player? Hmmm.

Love Nick but he's an old man and doesn't understand what really goes on in social circles.

What would he do if he saw two or three star players walking out of a cubicle together?

I’m not sure about this decision, I don’t why the Chooks have to make it public.
Will be interesting if say Sam Walker, Teddy, Rads, Collins or Leniu tested positive

Some fair and valid points here.

Nick is protecting his and the clubs business interests with due consideration to the huge investment in the Roosters youth academy and any of its future players. It shows responsibility to those young players parents who would feel ok about their son being part of a historical club.

I read through this thread just to see your comments.

I think Nick has made his bed and will need to follow through no matter who it may be in the future.

Let’s just hope he isn’t faced with making such a call.
