It is a massive change in price for a different regular game.

I just had a quick look at the prices for Melbourne game and they have a small mark up. I understand supply and demand, especially our game that sells out quick.

Within 5 years the ANZAC clash will no longer be included with season tickets.

already this year they’ve demanded all season ticket holders redeem their ticket for the day so they can sell your seat if you don’t confirm. Once everyone is comfy with they they’ll start making us pay more for that game each year

They've been shafting the members for over a decade now. I've got my email exchange somewhere deep in the archives where I argued with Steve Noyce about why season tickets prices were increasing when they were reducing the amount of home games played at the SFS when we had the central coast deal and then shipped a game off to NZ which were games we continually lost AND they stopped giving us the 2 free GA tickets to be redeemed at any home game, he waffled on about commercial interests and other corporate talk and didn't give a toss about the fans and nothing has changed since then except the team has mostly been successful on the field so people aren't too bothered at the moment but it will be interesting to see how things go with the shiny new stadium effect wears off and the team starts to struggles leaving only the die hards left.

I think there are simple and cost effective solutions the club could take to improve the membership offering but I find it hard to be too angry about the price structure especially when you compare to other clubs. Even though like you, I remember buying my first Chookpen membership in 2005 for around $150 (concession) and now it's doubled. But I also remember paying $1.20 for a 375ml coke back and these days it costs me $2.50 for a 200ml can of coke.

CBD... Eastern suburbs, it's pedantics both cost a mint to operate a business out of. The point stands.

Your argument is around a reduced value, whether they're decreasing the offer or increasing the prices it doesn't really matter, it all comes down to the value you're receiving for the money you spend.

I guess my questions for you would be is there a model out there you can point to that you think the club should follow or could take some inspiration from? And to what level would you like to see the club take a hit in revenue to increase the value proposition of memberships for its supporters?

Plus free public transport to and from Allianz as well - 4 tickets @ 29.50 - $118 plus the savings on travel if you use the Public Transport option then you would come out in front with your $120 spend.

You just choose where you sit in any of the general admission stands.

not sure what would happen in a sellout game, it’s never happened to me before, benefits of a big home stadium.

Thanks. So you choose on the day? It’s not pre booked. First to get to the seat sort of thing? The only reason I’m asking is I’m looking to book some seats and all the good seats are not available because they are reserved for full paying members. There’s no point me paying for that living in Canberra. Seems the only tickets I can get are in the corners and Bay 30 and behind the goal posts. I don’t want to be behind the goal posts and am worried about Bay 30 looking into the sun for afternoon games. I’m not even sure which game to go to yet.

Yep MR, just scan your ticket and find the best seat available, if you get there a bit earlier, take the best available, it tells you on the ticket which bays are GA.
