NSWRL have moved streaming from their app to BarTV. Cost goes from $50 per year to $20 per month. All junior and lower grades are covered plus country comps. Youd never have time to watch them all once NRL starts

If it was free they would show limited game each weekend as they did before when it was free and run by the NSWRL - not always a Roosters game ( Central Coast and Sydney Roosters) was shown on particular weekends.
Chicken feed the cost when you can have access to watch all games with your subscription or selected games with a 48 hour pass - It will be a festival of footy - More than 900 games all up - Both Junior and Senior Reps.- Monthly Subscription: $19.95 per month (auto-renews until you cancel).
- 48-Hour Pass: $6.95 (one-time purchase, cancels automatically after 48 hours).
and Sydney Roosters. Not sure if one can watch the games they miss because of this later on.
The partnership with BarTV Sports will kick off with Junior Representatives metropolitan competitions on Saturday 1 February. It will provide NSWRL TV subscribers the opportunity to watch all matches from NSWRL Junior Representatives Competitions and NSWRL Major Competitions in 2025.

Smart investment/move by the NRL to diversify revenue - Purchases so far include - Quest Hotel adjacent to Shark Park / Brisbane Mantra Terrace / Ibis Styles Port Macquarie /Gambaro Hotel Brisbane and the Mercure Sunshine Coast.
Clubs are responsible for their Junior and Senior Reps and should look at including subscription access to Junior /Senior reps at a discounted price. as a membership option - NRL and NRLW as well -NRLW games are currently shown live but the more teams that are added the less likelihood is of that continuing.

For a few thousand dollars you could get a couple of second hand cameras on Gumtree from the 90's and stream on Twitch at 240p.

There was nothing stopping any NRL club from live streaming games involving their junior and senior rep teams either if it only supposedly costs a few thousand dollars.
One figures it would cost significantly more than a few thousand dollars though just in wages alone i.e the camera operator /broadcast technical folk and commentators would need to be paid plus you have travel/meals costs and possibly accommodation and meal costs for the regional comps ( Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley Cups) etc
In any case the NRL don't run the state leagues or their competitions as that is the role of the various state league governing bodies -NSWRL and QRL
NSWRL only started live streaming selected games a few years back - 2021
2021 - 100 games
2022 -188 games
2023 - 207 games
2024 - over 250 games
2025 - over 900 games

How dumb the NRL are when it comes to footy in the bush. Some of our local Bay Tigers junior grade teams here have to forfeit every second or third week, due to lack of players. The AFL are here all the time running coaching clinics and handing out free footballs. 2 weeks ago they had a massive AFL girls only clinic, you should have seen how many kids were there. League does nothing. Looking online it appears all lower grade and junior level afl is streamed free. Yet these NRL morons want to try and bleed parents even more.
