If their looking at Pearce's game last night it was stifled by Farrah's obsession with the ball .Farrah was great but over played his hand .The backs came to life when Farrah kept out of it for 10 minutes and pearce and Carney did there thing -two tries and almost another be it they were one man down.
Cronk talk well he took 6 years in first grade before he even came on to his own playing second fiddle to others in his side.
We just have slack non committed side at the moment its more of the same that we have been last 7 years .
You want Pearce to play great ? then tell the forwards to not miss tackle and make good yards instead of average and would help if he had backs that could play not even Andrew Johns could ignite this rabble.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

NSW forwards rolled over QLD in these 2 games yet MItch still struggled, he had his booze buddy next to and he still struggled, he has the "best" backline in NSW and he still struggled.
The excuses bin has surely run dry
It is time for his loyalist mob to concede, all he is, is an above average footballer with limited attacking skills, gives his best at all times, has an " ok" kicking game and loves to tackle.
That is it.
We / anyone will not win a comp with a chief playmaker with those limitations.

Been calling for Pearce to hooker to my mates for a couple of years now.
At the end of the day, he's not creative enough and not a strong enough kicker to be a halfback.
However, his skills in those areas dwarf Jake Friend and he has the toughness and defence to slot into the No.9.

Game 1 we won the forward battle and I thought he was very good, Game 2 we lost the forward battle and I thought he was ok not much more but kept us playing direct all night which was the perfect game plan given the conditions. Ask Stick and he'll say he executed the game plan near perfectly and that's his job, Barrett has already given him a wrap. If we (NSW or Roosters) can run a few tries off him in the process then that's great but way too many people are blaming him for our lack of creativity when it's not his main responsibility.
Agree on his kicking game though, it's the one thing stopping him from becoming a good solid halfback.
