Convince me why Broncos won't smash us Rd1

I'm actually looking forward to the season due to having low expectations on how we will go imo.

Looking forward to see how some of these new additions go in the top grade.

There's no pressure by fans & media due to the high quality experienced personnel thats gone. There's opinion that we aren't a legit top 8 side amongst some.

However with Rd1 v Bronc's around the corner I'm convinced it won't be a happy start to the season.

PRO'S - Written off team eager to impress...playing at home...Rd1 everyone starts new.

CONS - losing a ton of experience...the ending to 2024 was terrible...Sam Walker out...usually look terrible & lose Rd1 games...Broncos want revenge on last year's Rd1 loss to us....Broncos having a new coach & fired up to impress.....Broncos look stronger in most positions than us.

Can anyone add more PROs to counter the CONs?

I agree with you Egg. I think we'll cop a hiding against them, they'll have the new coach bounce. We are a weaker team this year than we were last year and we looks light-years away from the minute to minute grind and consistency required to beat Melbourne and the Riff. So how can we expect improvement in that department this year?

This year will be about building habits in our young blokes and priming them for the new few years after that. I think Robson coming in '26 with Sammy back will be a huge help. Also expect us to make a big signing during the season for next year.

The best way I can describe the Broncos is twitchy. They could potentially blow us off the park or have an absolute shocker and be lucky to fumble their way to a win. Basically anything is possible in this game!

Pros: We're the Roosters so I'll always back us to win the footy.

Cons: They're the Drongos and they're a shytehouse team. If they do beat us then it will be an embarrassment.

Despite what the Courier Mail says, they weren't super impressive at UAA stadium today against a 2nd tier Burleigh Bears side.

A couple of good attacking sets and some neat chip kicks, but overall...meh!
