I wonder if we’ll play conservatively like last week or be a bit more expansive this time around?

Last week my attention was on the defensive games of Marky N and Toia this week it is on the attacking structure of the team where is the creativity and points coming from this season, I suspect this team is really going to struggle to score points if Teddy and Sandon Smith don't threaten the line with ball in hand.

Good to see Foketi is (seemingly) getting more chances, I don't watch the lower grades but he killed it in the trials last year and looks exciting from the limited games I've seen.

If we can't put a good performance against Newcastle then this season is a wash.

Don't expect to see much in attack as they will hold back their shapes I'm sure but I would like to see how we're going to get momentum and yardage on kick returns/coming out of own end. Suaalii is a big loss in this part of the field and based on last week felt like we didn't have much to offer without Toops. Lose momentum coming out of your own end in the first two tackles and you're guaranteed to be kicking from within your own 40, something we did too often against the better sides last year so hoping Toia or Marky Mark will show something in this area or that Young can show some improvement. So really hoping we don't see a lot of kicks coming from deep within our own half today.

Think the success we can have in attack this year is going to be based on how well we can roll the ruck once in the oppositions half so interested to see how Watson goes bringing his forwards onto the ball and to see if we can generate some momentum to give our edges the space to play with.

Would hope against the Knights we're not conceding too many linebreaks either at least until the reserves start getting introduced into the game.

R6 do you coach a junior team yourself?

Good question MR. Maybe playing without so many first graders last week means they sort of had to be a bit conservative. With a much better pack and some good ins I reckon they'll move the ball much better today.

I think both sides are evenly matched so it’s a 50/50 game for me.
Both teams halves are not top notch
Both teams have top notch fullbacks.
I think we have a slightly better forward pack.
