Saves Robbo for another year lol
I think it would show huge gumption and ambition as a club to sack the coach after running 3rd. At the end of the day we mightve been 3rd but we had as much chance of winning the comp last year as 8-10 odd other teams. Never laid a glove on Panthers or Storm.
We haven't got those things at the moment and that's why we sign playsrs like Chad Townsend and let half the squad leave in the same off-season.

Lets stay classy and not tarnish Nick's legacy by thinking he's being tricked or fooled, the great man deserves more respect than that. A true club legend.

Want Trent to do better?...buy him some better players.
When he had better players he won us 3 premierships...and finished 3rd last season.
Can't take JWH, Suaalii, Manu, May, Sitili, Keary (Walker and Brandon Smith) out of the team and expect it to be the same.

But let’s not ignore the fact that Nick gifted Robinson with gun sides for each one of those Premierships..
I am staying classy and not trying to tarnish Nick in any way,he is the true legend of our Club!
But I won’t ignore the fact that Robinson has a free ride this year with so many players departed,so the pressure is well and truly off him!
In the meantime as supporters we need to deal with a mediocre season with Townsend and Smith running the ship!

The planning that has gone into this years squad is an absolute joke!
Which is ok to do, if said players are goo d enough.
*
Knights today were too big, too strong, too fast, too sharp, too energetic, too skilful.
Pauga or Wong must play right centre.
Our team is too small.
Two big guys in NSW Cup could be done out in head gear, shoulder pads and a knock em down, drag em out mindset and let loose on the Broncos.
What was done today must change.

He either gets credit for building those premiership winning sides and criticism for the current squad he's built OR;
He gets no credit for building those premiership winning sides and there for you can't criticise him for the current squad that's been given to him.
I believe it is the former but you can't have it both ways.

You can say that Politis went out and signed SBW and Maloney but the reality is that Robinson had to get them aiming up week in and week out and the way they played for each other in defence for the first 3 years with the Bondi Wall was definitely down to the coach and the belief that the players had in him. Let's not forget that everybody in the media had Bellamy penciled in to take over from Smith but the players wanted Robbo and Politis agreed. Nick didn't sack Robbo after 2016 and what happened? Back to back premierships in 2018/2019, Nick knows that sometimes a 2011-2012 is necessary to develop players.
We still haven't replaced Boyd Cordner his unexpected retirement is still being felt all these years later I believe things would have been a little bit if he were still around in a playing capacity.

I'm perfectly fine with the coach building a team for the future.
But that means he has to blood players now.
Townsend is not the future, infact he's not even the present.
Surely we could partner Sandon Smith with Hugo Savala or Jake Elliot or Reece Foley or even Toby Rodwell.
If we play Townsend at 7 until Sam has recovered then IMHO we have wasted a season.
