Watching that 1st half replay was hard work & couldn't go through the torture of the 2nd half.

Theres no steel in our defence anymore...apart from White our forwards are small & lack punch...what a good call to get rid of May.

Anyway the Broncos game will show what Robbo can or cant do with this team this year imo.

Also why would a trial be played at 3:00pm in February in Summer...pretty dumb.

Silly planning from NRL but they don't apply much logic when making decisions usually so doesn't surprise me. Knights played in those conditions aswell though and schooled us.

Mate I got blasted on here for being too negative when I didn't show enthusiasm for signing a bloke that had been relegated to reserve grade for Jake Clifford. If we are going to have a throwaway season I'd rather blood a young half like Elliott or Rodwell. Give them the experience.

You would think that Elliot will be given an opportunity before Sammy gets back should we have a bad start to the year. Might even jump Sandon in the process.

On our trial performances, how far off are we fitness wise compared to our first game last year? I know it was hot but we still looked very tired and slow.

I missed the game & wanted to see if the majority of the Chook Pen's take on the game was accurate...& yes it was imo.

Yep Knights had the same conditions & didn't give up 48pts...if they can't improve on that & get themselves up for the Broncos then it's looking like a horror season coming up.

How did he get gifted a gun side when we were crap in 2011 and 2012? 6 of the 17 "won" the spoon with us in 2009 and Martin Kennedy was a regular throughout the year who was also part of the spoon team and 3/4 of the 2013 premiership were part of the under performing years in 2011 and 2012.

You can say that Politis went out and signed SBW and Maloney but the reality is that Robinson had to get them aiming up week in and week out and the way they played for each other in defence for the first 3 years with the Bondi Wall was definitely down to the coach and the belief that the players had in him. Let's not forget that everybody in the media had Bellamy penciled in to take over from Smith but the players wanted Robbo and Politis agreed. Nick didn't sack Robbo after 2016 and what happened? Back to back premierships in 2018/2019, Nick knows that sometimes a 2011-2012 is necessary to develop players.

We still haven't replaced Boyd Cordner his unexpected retirement is still being felt all these years later I believe things would have been a little bit if he were still around in a playing capacity.

The team hasn't been a contender since 2019 is what I meant but a group of people on here think we should have been winning or fighting for premierships in that time which is laughable. The only game we've been in the contest with Penrith since the 2019 grand final was in round 1 of 2020 which is a game we should have won but the matches against Penrith and Melbourne have shown they aren't contenders and the team has been steadily getting worse since then and this year we have a lot of young inexperienced kids who will be playing a lot.

I'm not off the coach either I just think this team is nowhere near talented enough to be competing for a finals spot and this is a bottom 4 roster in my eyes and with our start to the year the season could well be over by round 10.

Thanks for the clarification. I understand what you’re saying. We’ve lost a lot of experience this year, a lot of leaders. People need to lower their expectations but already I see many haven’t.
