If Long Tall Sally can't get him motivated, no-one can..

    • In another post, someone put up a highlights package of Savala. Admittedly against far weaker opposition but I did note that it looks like his first instinct is to play straight.with both running game and offloads.

Both Smith and Townsend were steering our "attack" to the sidelines in both trials. Would like to see this change on Thursday night.

Stuart said he needed a rest due to the pressures of first grade for a young guy. He’s the same as Sandon Smith, with room to move he looks good, but poor missed tackles and decisions creep into there games and pressure builds, last year Ethan couldn’t handle it. No loss.
No he didnt. The Raiders played the Titans in rd 6 last year & he was in the side, he was there in rd 7, rd 8, rd 9, 10,11,12 against the Chooks 13, & so on.
Ethan Strange had an incredible rookie season in the NRL, winning the club's 2024 Peter Mulholland Rookie of the Year. Head coach Ricky Stuart elected to go for the rookie five-eighth in round one of the season, where he went on to play 21 NRL games.

I thought about it too but it seems he is like May meaning his heart isn't in it. But the talent and size could blend well with Sammy

I would rather Jackson Hastings back.

They have something in common - they're both FITH and have good ball skills when they're on.

Straight running and ruthless defense are currently not in the Chooks DNA - unfortunately. BUT BLOODY WELL SHOULD BE.

Robbo's decisions since he left have been poor.
I don't disagree with your analysis and have made a similar points previously on the void left post POS in terms of pathway talent but I think it's odd to to then attribute blame to Trent Robinson.

Would be like saying we were so good at memberships packs when Brian Canavan was around but since he's left Robinson's decisions have been poor.

The quality coming through our pathways recently has improved dramatically and I don't think Trent Robinson deserves credit for that, there is a guy named Clint Zammit who joined us at the beginning of 2023 who I think deserves a lot of praise. Along with the strong partnership we have in place with the CC.

For those who love a good story, Zammit was the one who spotted Ponga for the Cowboys all those years ago...

                      • Should play straight it’s one of the reasons cheese didn’t fire here he plays straight but the roosters way from what I can see is side to side plays with teddy dancing around like a ballerina in the middle looking for a gap having said that we have a light pack we don’t have a couple of big scary front rowers who can get us on the front foot anymore to allow us to play that style of footy Spence is a great impact player off the bench Lindsay is more a really good second rower especially in defence but can’t he bend the line like that not on the last couple of years performances he can’t do how do we play straight with the pack we have the answer to that is we don’t it’s going to be a long season imo hope I’m wrong but I don’t think we have the cattle for that style of go forward
