Reminds me a bit of Scott Logan, although Logan ran a lot harder..

We need a lot more from Lindsay, just not sure how much he has in him to be honest.

I’d love to see him in the backrow. Huge motor, great defence and won’t get battered for his remaining prime years

Pipe dream as we have no other props currently ..

        Zero leg drive

Some of his runs yesterday were Chris Beattie esque
I didn't want him injured yesterday...so I'm happy if he did the minimum.

He can't do it all by himself. Give him 5 other big, strong, muscular, tough forwards in the pack and his efforts could mean more.

A trial, very hot day, Victor just easing himself into the season.

He has zero footwork which makes him a very predictable & easy target. Look at AFB, he is one of the best front rowers in the game but doesnt run super hard. He just uses great late footwork to push in between defenders and always finds his front (if he doesnt break the line) and generates ruck speed. Run at spaces not faces is taught in juniors and applies all the way through to NRL.

I really thought Lindsay & the coaching staff would've had him working on this during the off season after he kept getting ironed out at the end of last year but alas they have not.

Same as SST and Taumalolo in their prime
footwork in contact leaving defenders grabbing sideways and ball runners easily getting over the advantage line

He appears to have lost a bit of weight too

Although he was pretty big JWH was more compact and was hard to hit without getting an elbow knee or hip. I prefer props built more like Spencer but even he doesn't seem to have as much impact as the first half of last year. Most of our pack have less impact without JWH so every one of them is hitting it up off the back foot rather than getting a lift from the previous hitup.
We need a nugget in the forward pack rotation.

Someone as wide as they are tall.

                  Is Danny Nutley still available?

Surely, with the cap space we have, Robinson (or his crew) could of found a bargain buy experienced front rower somewhere to help out.

Anyway, let's see what unfolds over the early rounds.

Not sure why we're not looking at Francis Molo. He wasn't great at the Dragons but was good at the Cowboys, has experience and is probably desperate to sign with anyone given his current circumstances.

That's why. He was at the Cowboys like 6-7 years ago who cares what he did there.

Tom Hazleton is available, although his asking price is apparently $550k

Tbh the one I'd want from the Sharks is Tuku Hau Tapuha back, he looked like he has improved 10x last year.

Must agree. I don't think I've ever seen Lindsay get a quick the play the ball. Seems to always be getting up off his back with the markers already up. Jared even as he got older still had that shimmy at the line that meant sometimes he would be on his feet playing the ball before the markers were set. Lindsay is an old fashioned "lumbering" front rower, which doesn't really work anymore.

Having done an ACL myself, he's probably lost a bit of confidence.
