  • Where do the Roosters finish season 2025?

With the 2025 season opener days away, it’s time to see where the Chookpen sees the Roosters finish the regular season.

Now, I know we all want to be on top after 26 rounds but I’d like to see where you honestly see the team finishing.

We will come home with a wet sail, as we always do ... so it's 8th for me

With Walker out for so long I think we will be 2 -5 or 1-6 after the first 7 rounds we will recover to finish 10th or 11th late in the season providing we don't get hammered by injuries.

AAMI park Melbourne on the 29th of August.

An extra long off-season on the chookpen might break a few

On trial form, last is a reasonable vote.

I can't vote until after round one.
Round one...we're at Allianz at night.
Collins, Watson, Whyte, Gus, Radley, N Butcher, Sandon Smith, Young. Toops, Wong, momTeddy.
Pauga played right wing in Vegas and scored a try from the Manu flick pass. He can play centre.
E Butcher is a first grade player.
Townsend is an experienced first grader.
                    ...is still a good team.

                      I said 9 to 12.

I was just so disappointed (lack of) by the defense last Sunday in Gosford.

I wander what new messaging the players are getting from the coaching staff this season compared with previous seasons.

                      Go the mighty R W & B !!

I can only see us beating home one or two on the ladder, so around 15th.

And if that transpires, I hope Robbo has a spell and we get the freshen up we need.

That's not a good team in my eyes I can't think of too many teams that are going to put out a worse spine than we will maybe only the Warriors and Titans have us covered there.

Our forward pack was getting smoked against every good to top forward pack last year and still relied on a broken down old man JWH to lead the pack and now we don't have him to carry us through.

The backline is mid, Toops and Teddy are good but Young has the defence of a witches hat, Nawaqanitawase and Toia are unproved, Junior Pauga is decent depth but nothing more.

Townsend was horrible for the Cowboys in recent years this has Mark Riddell 2.0 written all over it.

Between 10th & 12th imo, even with Sam Walker coming back it won't make much of a dent. He can't solely perform miracles after a long lay off.

Really disappointing to end last year conceding 16 tries in 3 finals games then in their 1st game back after a long off season to capitulate to the Knights like that sends alarm bells for this season.

If the coach cant address that then get someone who can.

Townsend slots over the winning FG in the GF and wins the CC medal.
