  • SENIOR REPRESENTATIVES TEAMLISTS – Sunday, 8th March, 2025

A host of new players will debut for the Roosters on Sunday in the opening round of the NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup.

Not sure who fills in the missing gaps in both teams as it mentions a number of NRL squad members are available - looks like a double up weekend for some of the SG Ball players to fill roles in Jersey Flegg and maybe NSW Cup this weekend.

Have to wait till 1 hour before kick off the full teams for both games

    Great game NSW Cup

    Roosters v Norths

A patched up Baby Roosters beat last years Grand Finalists North Sydney in a very tough match. The game saw the young Roosters continually defending their half of the field and repelling the North attack again and again. When the Roosters did get the ball, it was mostly within their 10 meter line and then it was a matter of slogging it out for every meter.

9th minute Roosters lose starting hooker Coleman to knee injury. Moriarty came on and played dummy half for rest of game
    0-4 down at half time
55 minute - we equalise - Savalla scores a try
Score remains at 4-4 Savala misses wide out conversion
59 minute Tom Rodwell scores a try
Savalla converts from wide out score 4-10
70 minute penalty to Roosters Savala kicks goal score 4-12
71 Norths score converted try score 10-12
Roosters repel Norths attack for last minutes of game

This fits in with the Roosters wanting growth and development for the young talent exposing them to this level earlier than they used too.
Brett Morris would of been very happy especially with all the players that were unavailable
Defence and trust in each other won the match
