I'm not so sure that these young guys are up for it. I hope you are right though. It would be great to see some real players emerge.

If these players have the potential that Robbo thinks they do then they should be solid enough tonight. I'm excited to see what happens.

Last year I was in Vegas very anxious about the game all day and couldn’t wait to get there.

This year I have no expectations whatsoever and don’t expect a win. I will be relaxed all day and won’t be looking at the clock at all.

So disappointing that it’s come to this.

I will give them 15 minutes to compete maybe 25 after that ..their speed will kill us and its wet.

I remember Blake Ferguson being so bad at fullback against St Helens and in round 1 of 2016 that Robbo scrapped that plan they worked on all off season and chucked Latrell at the back in round 2 and it was clear a 17 year old didn't have the fitness to to play at the back but was still better than having a guy who couldn't catch a cold in Siberia.

My favourite part about 2016 was how terrible we were that year losing our first 5 games and finishing second last but we still flogged St Helens with a halves pairing of Jayden Nikorima and Jackson Hastings. We lost about 10 games that season by 6 points or less and there were teams fighting for the top 8 who conceded way more points than we did it really wasn't that bad in hindsight all things considered besides the round 1 and Cowboys away flogging.

Bad seasons often bring some of the best wins too that game against Souths were Dylan Napa took them on single handed is an all time great Roosters win.

Haven't been this underwhelmed about an upcoming season for nearly 20 years.
I don't rate the current team.

Yeah but you dont want them in a losing routine they develop bad habits.I expect them to be better second half of the year.

It’s a tough draw this year. We play Brisbane and Penrith twice each in the first 7 rounds and the Storm twice also. I don’t think effort will be enough without skill and experience and can’t see us making the top 8.

You're spot on there but unfortunately we just have to ride with it. Personally I think by the time the draw eases off in the middle of the year the damage in the first 9 rounds will be done.

Top 8? We will struggle to make the top 16.

Avoiding the spoon will be a successful season seeing the squad we have.
