I'm not so sure that these young guys are up for it. I hope you are right though. It would be great to see some real players emerge.
What makes you think they are not up for it? Is it something they have said in the leading up? I'm sure they are up for the challenge of playing first grade.
I just want to see the right attitude and some positives in defense - I'd love if we play similar to the Raiders
love him or hate him Ricky Stuart always has them up for a scrap and their team is still worse than ours on paper....
I don't know what to expect and am approaching this game with all the enthusiasm of a trip to the dentist. (envious of Souths supporters here).
I think I'm still grieving the loss of JWH and Kez, my two favourites. And to make it worse, they are still going around. Oh well, we have to have a succession plan enacted sometime, so here goes. Our recruitment and retention in recent seasons has been diabolical.
We will likely get a touch up if trial form and team sheets are much of a guide.
One aspect I look forward to a bit is our two centres. Mark N looks class. With more experience he should be a great acquisition. And Rob Toia gets his chance, wishing him the best. Looks to have some quality.

what might have been. hard to win games when a) you lose a shit load of experience and b) you have half a dozen players injured
still, as always, as a fan all you can ask is that they do their best. if the broncos are better then so be it. so long as we play every game this year like we mean it
