50 in Round 1 with 10 minutes to go is ****ing embarrassing.

Going for the short 10 off kick off when we are 40-8 down and 46-8 down tells you everything you need to know, we’re more concerned about trying to attack than defend. There’s a point where it becomes about pride and damage limitation. At 46-8 you should not be concerned with getting the ball back off a kick off so that you can attack.

To be fair, scoring 3 tries at least gave me something to like about the game. At that point I don't think we needed boring, long kicks with the purpose of trying to delay the inevitable 'next try'. We needed to have a dig and do something for the fans, which we did...

Atrocious and embarrassing. If we cop too many of these this season, Robbo will be fighting to keep his job at best.

We need to rebuild, specifically, our underbelly. It has been getting progressively softer for some time. I'm not sure how you go about doing that, but that needs to get sorted before anything technical.

I didn't. We were also rans before we lost players and we replaced them with guys from one of the worst NSW cup teams getting pumped by 50 will be a regular thing this year. Thank god Penrith are coming off a game in Vegas because they could've put 70 on us.

feedback from the game
-can't fault the boys, everyone effort was there
-the blame is on the retention & recruitment for the hole we're in this year
-Rob Toia is a star
-We can't win much games under Sutton reffing
-Hope Victor is ok
-Maybe Lindsay should gain some weight so he's not driven back every tackle
-We're lucky to have Teddy, he's never stop trying. MoM for me

Nice little snapshot mate, sums up my thoughts pretty close too.

Kinda what I expected tonight. The wet track might have saved us further embarrassment. That ground needs something done, too many players slipping.

It's a luxury having two halves like Reyno and Benno, add speed and size compared to us and you get a result like that.

Based on our trial results and this performance, I’m not sure there’s a team in the NRL that we can actually beat. Tigers would flog us.

Completely dominated in the forwards, Chad is absolute rubbish and Dom still has zero idea how to defend. Says everything when our backs are bigger than our forwards. Was all over when Victor departed. Do we have a defensive coach? We took our defensive lessons…….fark me.

Positives - Rob Toia will carve up behind a good pack, as will Sandon Smith. Surprisingly Doker-Clay added a little spark and some of our young guys got some experience.

Gonna be a long, long year, but the good news is that it will be over for us before it is 8 other teams.
