Just being involved in such a rumour deserves instant dismissal!

He will be different under Wayne..

Looks like 2 year deal at Souffs for 550k a year. So around 250k less than what's getting with us.

May go down as one of, if not, the worst signing in our history. Especially if he kills it at Souffs.

Talks of offloading him early. I wouldn't do that. Let him bash himself up for us for 4-5 games this year and get every penny we can out of the deal. As underwhelming as he's been, still can do a job for this rabble of a side.

Good signing for Souths at that price, I reckon.

For that price I'd want to keep him as a #13....

Agreed, to be honest he probably wouldve been offered similar coin if not more to stay at Melb back then. In hindsight he probably would've taken that offer.

Good player but was the square peg in a round hole trying to turn him into an 80min hooker based off 3 months of good footy when the rule changes were first implemented. Even then he didn't play 80. One of the first signs that Robbo's magic mightve been fading.

I still don't really know what he'll do at Souffs though. They have Murray as that undersized lock that goes hard and he is definitely no dummy half even though they need one.

I'd suspect he'd be an upgrade on Havali and the role he plays.

yeah, i'd keep him for that price if he doesn't insist on playing 9. the big problem with his stay at the roosters has been injury. with him and sammy fit we were in a genuine 3 way fight to win the comp

I reckon Souffs would offer him $600k-$750k. A club that's desperate for a 9 may offer more. Currently on $850k a year.
He is a 14 off the bench , no way is he a 9. Slow out of dummy half and is gassed after 15 minutes

If we didn't already have Watson I would agree, however they both cover the same role and same position and I think Watson is the better overall player.
