All his flashy lower grade highlights that I've seen have him on the left side, he has that rare left foot straighten up jink. Why is he playing on the right? Marky Mark seems to be much more of a right side player than a left, although he has played both sides. Why is he on the left?

Why is Toia not left centre?

And Toia's left foot step is wasted playing on the right. Left centre is the hardest position to fill. Like Josh Reynolds said on the radio, there aren't that many good left centres
The few good ones are left footed and step off the left;
Latrell, Bradman Best, Jack Wighton, Crichton. Even Freddy back in the day. Billy Smith is a dedicated left centre too, but he has more of a swerve than the out and out step.
Even left footed Jarrod Croker was a good left centre
We saw the same with Suaalii playing on the left last season, because Joey is out and out right. Suaalii was all but wasted playing on the left.
I'm tipping they change sides and Toia moves to the left. Not many have that left foot shimmy
