Unless you know what has happened first hand I would suggest giving Perrett the benefit of the doubt. He deserves it. The Roosters may well have said to Sam he can go, but then changed their mind due to injuries and form, with Sam now looking like the bad guy.

How does wanting a release mid season Constitute always doing the right thing by the club ?

By all means change your opinion of someone without knowing the facts of a situaiton. You are entitled to do that.

It is no secret clubs have a salary cap, and therefore the Roosters may have been happy for Sam to go knowing we had replacements, in order to save money. Whilst I appreciate it would be a relatively small amount, it is a saving nonetheless.

I'm not suggesting this is what has happened, I just think a player who has always played his heart out to the maximum of his potential and has always been a good clubman deserves the benefit of the doubt, until proven otherwise.
