If Perrett does leave mid season which I doubt, it could be like a Rod Silva & he wins a comp after switching from us to them mid season?

Why would we release him early?

Also do the Dogs have a salary cap?

If true I will be pretty gutted. I'm a Sammy fan! He's not always the most dynamic and head to head with some of the game best wingers he doesn't seem much, but he's trustworthy when it counts, he puts in most weeks and he's got a really good demeanor and attitude. If anything, he's a role model for our youngsters and probably was important to the backs like Ryles was to the forwards.

I'd argue punting him isn't going to be good for team morale. Sam seems much loved.

At least he will win a premiership there. As did Paul Dunn & Rod Silva & he will be coached by a 2 time winner. He has been a true club men I wish him all the best. Who will do his work now, he ran 142m today ?.

First we drop Carney after his best game of the season now it's Perrett's turn to go after his best game..

Would have liked to give him a proper goodbye after his services for the club.

if it's true he deserved better. a cool head, a loyal clubman, probably not the way forward but added great experience to the team. Wish him the best of luck wherever he ends up, but i would have liked to keep him for at least 1, maybe two more years until RTS, Moga and Henry are all more experienced
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths
