The Dog's must have a very 'creative' accountant lol.
Or is Dessie backending contracts like he did at Manly?
A mid year signing totally out of left field regarding Pez.
End of the season I could understand, but now? Strange.
Will we get the 'official' $BW to easts after June 30?
Maybe ....Jennings released from the Riff to easts.
Could be an interesting couple of weeks........

Rememeber everyone, the reason SBW isn't playing for the Roosters this year is purely because Canterbury have black banned him until the 2013 season. I have a feeling Politis may have done a deal with the dogs to let SBW play with the Roosters this year. I also heard that we have signed one of Canterburys very good youngsters, maybe we are also getting him early? He is a centre I believe. Could also be Jennings? Who knows what is going on. One thing I know for sure, Roosters wouldn't release him mid-season without benefitting in some way or another.

Some benefit may be seen as being able to hold on to some youngsters, but that all depends on what each person views as a good re-signing?

I think this is a mixture of 2 things.
* The Dogs are offering 3 years (which we were never going to do) and Sammy has been such a great Clubman that that the Roosters were not going to deny him of this opportunity.........
As long as,
We get a benefit. And that benefit is obviously clearing cap space. Sammy would not be on millions but it all counts towards freeing up cash for SBW or Jennings or whoever it is that they have in mind.
Anyway, I am happy for the bloke. Had a great game yesterday but he has been average recently. He is certainly not going to get better than he is now.Embrace the Hate! JC

I can see the weekly aftermath of this being a Carney repeat.
When he has a good game for the dogs ...... everyone will be on here going "why did we let him go, managemet are idiots";
When he has a bad game ....there will be the "good riddance, see I told you he was rubbish" brigade out in force.
I wish him all the best as he's been a great clubman, especially during a period when we had alot of players who weren't !

They say he signed yesterday and told his team mates on the bus.
Look good yardage getter and probably played his best game yesterday but just cant score tries 40 some thing tries in 8 years isnt good enough we need a winger that can score that is their job.Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe
