robbo's not going anywhere because of last night. while the performance wasn't great that wasn't a team coached by someone who has lost the dressing room. they had a dig.
not easy to win games when you have half a dozen players out on top of losing a shit load of experience from the year before and then lose a senior forward after 13 mins.
also, the broncs were great. created a lot and took even their half-chances. in wet conditions they had a completion rate of 90% at half time. early days but they look a serious premiership contender and they've got 3 top line halves. even when renno misses his half dozen games or so they'll still be covered

I, myself, am a big fan of young Lachie.

You don't hear much about him and Adrian these days, it’s kinda the 'Silence of the Lams '.
And Silence of the Lams let’s hope it remains.

Lachie proved he can’t play NRL standard. Probably why there is no que of clubs lining up to sign him.

        Demi or Arthur....yeah nah.

Robbos going nowhere. He might have to look at his support staff and maybe drop the gentleman Trent image and get stuck in.

Whatever....the side we got will develop and hopefully we see them get better as the season goes on.

Def some good young prospects but they need time to mature.

You're kidding if we believed we'd be serious contenders this year.

Maybe it some luck we make the 8. Wouldn't put the house on it but it's early days.

Looking through our draw it's hard to see where the wins are going to come from. If we have 3-4 wins by round 17 when we have our last bye I would anticipate that Robbo is gone and Holbrook takes over.

I watched the Leigh game this morning. Lachlan Lam got outplayed by a 33 year old Aidan Sezer who lead a heavy underdog team in Hull FC to a draw despite a few speculative calls going the way of Leigh and Hull going down to 11 players at one point. Lachlan Lam I don't think is the answer although if he's a package deal with Adrian I guess he could be a passable last resort half option.

As for Adrian himself, don't watch too much of Leigh so I don't know too much about him but a quick Google shows he has a pretty strong win record and experience in the international game also. Seems a bit like Robbo before he came to the Roosters.

Lam. I’ve said from day 1 that Sandon is Flanno 2.0, or even Flanno light. We’ve had the dud Nikorima,Hastings,Flanno & now Sandon which is a very ordinary run & shows poor recruitment & identification. We surely target someone for next year as he’s very vanilla & the prototype Super League player in my eyes.

Be practical highly unlikely the Cleary’s would leave Penrifff I do wonder however if we are not coming to the end of Robinson as we have struggled now for 5 or 6 years. My feeling is telling Robinson or anyone he has the job as long as he wants is bad management. I actually thought last night our guys didn’t show a lot of commitment which disappoints. Our defence hasn’t been to a previously high standard since Fitz left and he won’t be coming either

So who is the defensive coach? It was Boyd last year but he is now head coach of one the junior rep teams. Plenty of Robbo critics, but he isn’t solely responsible for every aspect of play.

I think we need new blood from another club's system. Not more old boys.

Adrian Lam was whinging about the referee after the most recent draw he would fit in with a lot of our fans who were complaining about Sutton last night

The whole NRL is the Roosters nursery , we need the best in the business to identify young talent early.
Also and just as important under priced value for money established NRL talent, which is exactly what keeps Melbourne competitive year in year out with Bellamy's Billy Beane approach around workhorse, no frills type players.

Whoa Lachie Lam was one of the whipping boys here before he left. Next thing you know we will be calling for Jackson Hastings to return!

Very hard to win games when you don't have the ball.
Circus music and streamers...anyone who plays us seems to be more in tune with the playing style favoured by the refs.

The solution to our problem is clear.
Now, we have a small team...with many inexperienced players.
Winning games in the NRL with a team like that is very difficult.
Add, when do we ever get multiple penalties and 6-agains in our favour in the first half of a match?
It seems to always be the exact opposite.

                              Solution:

Build a team of big, strong, tough, fast, skilful players who can bash, smash and trash (legally of course) their way thru matches.
Who can stop offloads, and easy metres being made by oppositions.
Who can run over opposition teams like is being done to us now.

West Tigers lost. All their new players made a difference, but not enough to win.
Best ran all over them late in the second half to create the winning try for the Knights. He's big enough, strong, tough, fast and skilful.

Our coaches and coaching set up are absolutely fine.
All we need is a team of Origin/Test players and we'll rise again. The ones we had last season all left at once.

Club doesn't seem interested in them. Lomax, Holmes, Hunt and Luai were all off contract last year and all play positions we need filled, we took Townsend instead...
