I thought it was poor from Robbo, blaming things on "last tackle chaos" and talking about 2nd or 3rd or 4th efforts, and making it all sound so confusing, whilst still praising the players for their great "effort plays".

They put 50 on us. There can be no praise for anyone. He seemed to be going out of his way to praise though.

Too many mistakes and very poor defence. Pretty simple.

Can we gift Dom Young to Souths too? It’s a nice package for them. Young and Smith. A freebie. We don’t need anything in return. The gift of watching them play for Souths would be enough.

haha, robbo's struggling when bbr puts the boot in. but i thought robbo got the balance right. effort was good, execution was poor. we had too many defensive errors at critical times but our overall effective tackle rate was 86%, better than the panthers when they beat the broncs in the 23 gf.

wow. So it was actually all ok last night? Our tackle effectiveness rate was better than the equivalent tackle effectiveness number of a team that won a previous grand final, in that grand final game?

What was I worried about. We should probably win the comp then, given we've set the new tackle effectiveness benchmark.

Yes a younger side and new players, but too many soft tries, defense below NRL standard, and Robbo not worried enough about it, and too much praise.

He gets no credit on here, but if Nat Butcher had played, we'd have conceded 2 fewer tries, and had much more defensive presence all over the field. Victor also. Can't say that about Wong or Whyte. But they have the flashing lights on them as attacking impact line-breakers. Still waiting to see any of it from either of them. And they are both average defenders at best.

I’m wondering whether you have ever considered that Robbo’s messaging to the team may be different to his messaging in a post game press conference? He’s hardly going to come out and throw a bunch of kids under the bus in a public forum. His message during the video reviews would be quite different IMO. Don’t mistake his diplomacy for weakness.

Are ' some ' players pissed about May. They say defense is all about attitude.

I am not a Robbo fan, but I think he deserves a bit more time. Or maybe he doesn't. Who knows.

But piss weak defense is just a no no.

How embarrassing that we now have to wait until round 3 to maybe jag our first win.

I have said this before, I don't think Robbo is a fan of crazy loopy mad man possessed hard running forwards. Cause we have none.

GO the mighty R W and B always.

                Yeah agree.
He's not coming out saying yeah we got half a side of rookies and they're all shite.

What he says publicly has gotta be way different to to what he tells individuals and the team.

Part of his job is pointing out to players where they fell short and what they need to do.

Will be watching May go around in the Tigers game tonight. Still very pissed with that decision.

Not suggesting he's weak at all, and yes I realise what is said in press conferences is not the same as the details discussed with the team. There was a time though, towards the beginning of it, where Tedesco looked away to his right and looked a bit frustrated at Robbo's explanation. I love Robbo, I am starting to fear for the first time though, that he may be losing his way a bit.

Nothing lasts forever. I'm not sure his wokeness and being so cuddly soft and wordy and explanational about everything, is what we need.

Press conferences are irrelevant I don't care what is said in them.

Yeah we played great just lacked some finesse but it was a good performance so we should all be very, very proud of them. The coach expressed joy at the display.

Not really, I'm a bit annoyed. Played an awful 9 holes today and lost $60 in skins, just to add to it You're over the moon though as expected.

                          I understand.

Not over the moon at all.

What your starting to hopefully see now is what I picked up on a while back & realised he's losing his way.

Love the guy for what he's done but like most things in life...there is eventually an expiry date & replacement is needed.
