and for little money with the cap space we have would all help
The whole point is to give those guys game time. How many times do Robbo and Politis have to say it before you will comprehend it? They aren't signing guys like SST Leo Thompson David Klemmer and whoever else you guys think is the magic bullet because they rate the youngsters coming up and don't want to put a road block on their game time. It is not hard to understand at all.

When you loose by 50 points in a professional sport you don’t have long before the calls start getting louder
it’s good to introduce the odd one not half the team who get flogged each week and loose confidence

Round 3, 4 and 5 will tell us something about the mighty roosters.

Thanks, makes sense now why we signed Chad and (unsuccessfully)went after Gaigai, Shaun Johnson & Hunt.

given what you’ve laid out, we are well and truly ****ed this season given we need to play a MINIMUM of 2 NSW cup level plodders every week just to field a forward pack
Missing 1 is not a fair reflection within the context of what I was speaking about, Watson was covering at hooker so wasn't playing in the forwards and Radley was knocked out 15mins into the game.

Only Collins and Crichton were available for the full game from the starting pack..

With respect, isn't that kind of what NSW Cup, Origin period games, injuries and the interchange bench is for? It's rare to see in any kind of professional sport a majority of a team made up of rookies and that's what we fielded the other night with 9/17 having played under 50 games.

The way I've seen it done in other sports and the NRL as well is a slow introduction. Kind of like how Mark N debuted last year, from memory an injury occurred, he joined a backline that had plenty of experience and could learn that way, same with Blake Steep and the few games he played last year, he was surrounded by experience which means less pressure on him.

I'm no expert but for me this year I'd have picked 4 guys to develop for season 2025 and left the rest in NSW Cup until ready. The 4 I think that are suitable would be Mark N, Robert Toia, Sandon Smith (Utility bench whilst Watson plays 9) and Blake Steep. Mark N would've taken a wing, Toia would've taken right centre and both Sandon/Steep would've played off the bench to continue developing. I would've signed an experienced 6 to partner Walker for season 2025.

Trust the experts though I guess.

The most concerning part from this weekend was out absolute failure to retain May and sitili while loosing so many other players

we had May for a bargain and let him go leaving only 3 front rowers in our 17 with everyone fit needing to use butcher or Wong as cover so we are allready short
he might play origin this year
and now we have a full bench of rookies
also sitili I could understand this last year as he wasn’t in our 17 and very hit and miss! But he killed it for the dogs yesterday

Surely we must be a couple of mil under the cap!

failing to secure Hunt and not going for Lomax or Holmes who were bought cheap and in their prime just capped it off

i just hope robbo and the recruitment retention team watched it - they are allready getting smashed in the media around it
