He is similar to Spencer & Cheese, who I think are very obvious bench impact middle players and that's how they need to be utilised. Instead, at the Roosters we prefer not to play their strengths and wonder why they don't perform at their best.
Footy is a simple game, Trent likes to complicate it.

Did you see what manly did to the cowboys with big hard ass forwards. this gave the back room to move.something we don't have.
there has to be a forward somewhere out there looking for an opportunity, but with our dumb recruitment so called officials we will not purchase one.
this club from a recruitment point of view is a disgrace and has a lot to answer for. After all the hard work put into building up our fan base it will now drop right before our eyes. and that is not good for business

Manu at 5/8...yep they were great days.

Francis Molo is going to be next on the market and the dragons are after a quick release to get Klemmer. Yes he has had past issues, but we still signed Lodge, that didn’t bother us, or has Robbo identified another 17 yo coming through the academy to be our next aggressive prop. I to would like to know where Fanafu Seve is.

Have to agree with the general consensus. Sitili got a double and May was the best forward for the Tigers, they're both mid twenties and have plenty of first grade experience, these are two guys we needed to keep and have in our team during a rebuild.
Someone mentioned Taukeiaho, I think he's probably too old but geez he'd come in handy at this point given our goalkicking situation.

The avocado is the only forward signature we need for 2026 and from all accounts the club agrees. Getting it over the line will be the hard part.Last edited by Roosterfarian; Yesterday, 06:08 PM.Exonerate the West Memphis Three - www.wm3.org

Everyone seems to be Captain Hindsight when it comes to Sitili. He was a beast for us early days and then he tore his ACL in 22 and injured his neck in 23 which meant he only ended up getting half the 24 season to impress before the club had to make a call. All bar about 5 people on this site couldn’t wait to see the back of him. He’s always been a gun who leaves everything out there. Robbo knew that when we let go of him but we’d signed Fifita who could’ve been the most destructive forward in the comp so someone had to go and then Fifita f**ked us over.
I think a lot of people are over-reacting to Friday night. I was most disappointed with our discipline and ball control early in the game because it gave Brisbane great field position and they were just on and happy to throw caution to the wind on 5th tackle quite a few times once they were comfortably ahead. No team would’ve stopped a few of those tries. The positive thing is that the parts of the game we were really poor at are easily fixed. The dumb plays. Shooting up on the kicker down a short side twice is idiotic and will not happen again.
I thought our contact was very willing. There was a lot of Brisbane sets that were saved by an incredible Haas carry. And we had some good moments in attack when we wrestled back field position. My main concerns are Dom’s Young ability to be a smart, brave winger seem non-existent. Chad Townsend, while he played much better than in the Knights trial, is still way off the pace. And finally, the depth in our middle rotation is a real concern. Whyte had to stay out there for too long with no Spencer, Nat or Victor. Hopefully we have both Leniu and Butcher back this week. Foteki looks a goer to me. I’d be fine with him being in the 17 each week.
I can’t imagine watching games with the negativity of some on here. Maybe lower your expectations slightly when your team loses JWH, Manu, Keary, Suualii, Sitili, Walker, Brandon Smith, Billy Smith, both Butchers and Leniu (not to mention Radley for 60 mins) from their playing squad. It’ll be better for your blood pressure. We’ll be back up there again soon.

In my view, people are not just reacting to Thursday’s shitshow; they’re reacting to a gradual decline in the club over the last 5 years. Thursday was the icing on the cake.
We like to blame injuries, retirements, referees, etc, etc, however, every other club has the same issues to deal with. For us though, they tend to derail our seasons. Retention and recruitment have been atrocious with us paying overs for players that really hadn’t been delivering for a couple of years (Keary, Manu, JWH, Suualii) and who were taking up far too much cap space, limiting our ability to create effective depth. Then we offload May and Sitili, but keep the Butcher bros? We buy Smith and Leniu, neither of which have turned out to be astute purchases. Chad was cheap, but for good reason. Dom Young can run, but fark me he’s diabolical in defence……..no footy smarts at all.
Our pack lacks size, aggression and depth. Our backline has some positives with players like Toia and Marky Mark coming through, but that talent will be wasted because of a forward pack that is easily dominated.
The head coach oversees all of this and has to be the one owning it, no one else. I’m afraid that Robbo, who was once thought of as the Messiah, has lost his way.
There needs to be an investigation.
