The bulldogs played Sitili in the middle and gave him good passes in front of him so he could hit them at top speed and catch them. We played him on an edge and gave him pressure passes that hit him on his shoulder or in the ribs from side on as he hit the line. They were pressure passes that he often dropped but occasionally burst through the line. It didn't work often enough but we kept doing it. There was a period where they did the same with Cordner and he was dropping them. Both Sitili and May looked good this weekend. Certainly better than our forwards did on Thursday. Beniah Ioelu didnt play this week (No idea why). The Vaa brothers and Nat Butcher had been in hospital and Egon is not fit yet. The only forwards we could bring up are McCathie and Roberts. It's looking pretty grim for this week.

There was a fella with no. 8 for the Tigers the other day that went really good. Maybe we could look into getting him, not to mention the guy with no. 15 on his back for the bulldogs. Looks like he could break a tackle or two.

I thought he just signed a 3 year deal with us.

Apparently he has given the game away. He also said Itula the younger brother is signed long term and a great prospect.

I Will say this, we need to buy, grab, steel, find, raid, what ever it takes to get a big hard ass experienced forward from somewhere right now. I think especially with Vaa being unavailable for up to 3 months
Trent could use that as an excuse & get someone. Look at Melbourne & manly and the broncos, look at what they did on the weekend to the other sides & Guess what, they have big hard ass forwards that dominated up front. This is how you compete in the NRL now & This is what we lack right now & without someone we will be bottom 3 all year & the new kids in first grade will be deflated by seasons end. any suggestion's who we should target ???

                Agree with you Shagger.

Not one team would fear us.

Unfortunately there's nobody available. It's round 1 and our management didn't really plan for any of this which is wild. What's even worse is that off contract props for 2025 is pretty limited as well with Tom Hazelton, Josh King, Jack Hetherington and a 33 year old Josh Papalii looking like the best four of a pretty average lot.

Edit: Francis Molo is also available but apparently hasn't done a pre season so not sure how good he'd be for us, I'd probably take him at this point though.

Orrrr we should've just kept May. Just an idea. And no it's not hindsight, we all said it at the time.

Trent's made his bed, time to lie in it.

Remove Hazelton from my list, he's just re-signed with the Sharks.
