  • Manu & our poor decisions.

Believe what you will when it comes from Aus media but rumoured that the $500k we kept aside for Manu can’t be used elsewhere if he doesn’t return.
So not only do we miss all the targets we chased last year, we then let players leave without replacements & for reasons unknown, but Jen keep a spot, plus coin available for a guy that didn’t want to be here last year & ran. It’s a simple commit after a short term Rugby prior to 25 so we can go with that, or don’t commit & we can chase others. Lomax could have been a handy target but now we won’t get Manu more than likely, or even be able to use his money. Seriously if that’s the case what has happened to the club, to NP & Robbo. Some terrible decisions.

There's a lot of money available from Union clubs & players today are not loyal because clubs arent loyal.
And also Nick is 83 years of age so there is no way he is as ruthless or as driven as he was.

You guys are crying about Lomax this week we've moved on from Leo Thompson?

They'd both be a big help right about now.

Lomax was outstanding in last years SOO series. He's on $650k a year (according to Zero Tackle) which is good value imo.

If he wanted to play on the wing... Sure.

Parra got pumped a little over 24 hours ago with no help from Lomax

                  Agreed.

D Young is on $550k and still struggles with the basics. Lomax would be exceptional value!

Team sport, not one player can win a game all by themselves.

They can use the money for sure. I don't know why they would say that.

Rothfield said this today in the paper.

They also have spare salary cap cash this year now that champion centre Manu has signed with French rugby union and won’t be returning home.

It went from "he would've helped a lot" to "it's a team sport no one can win by themselves" in a matter of moments lol

The Roosters are backing the Youth which is the way to go

                          Players missing round 2 FYI

Nat Butcher ( TBC) - Egan Butcher ( TBC) - Brandon Smith ( Not liked on here) - Sam Walker ( Mid Season)- Spencer Leniu ( Round 3) - De La Salle Va's ( TBC) - Xavier Va's ( TBC) - Billy Smith ( Supposed back Round 2) - Victor Radley ( Round 3?)

                          No Pain No Gain

The Rewards will speak for themselves as their careers progress.

He would help the Roosters if he was here, he wouldn't win them games by himself and the team would still struggle due to lack of proper recruitment but we'd be better off with both Leo Thompson and Zac Lomax this year for sure

No doubt Lomax could have been a good player for us, however I think we need to fix problems in the engine room before worrying too much about who is in the backline. Our forwards have been getting dominated by the better sides for quite some time.and it’s not improving. Dally Messenger and Dave Brown would look average behind our forward pack.
