The exit of Terrell May from the Roosters is the first public act from new director of football Mitch Aubusson. He didn’t act without coach Trent Robinson, but he was the driving force.

Rooster legends Jake Friend and Boyd Cordner have also been working on getting the culture of the club back on track. May did nothing wrong, but his attitude was not what the club wants.

And they didn’t like the impact that was having on others, such as Spencer Leniu and Siua Wong. It’s a significant U-turn for a club that has had its recruitment questioned since the signing of Matt Lodge.

Love all those guys and trust them for now but I don't want to see the Roosters become the next Broncos, Bulldogs, Knights, Dragons, Eels etc with all this old boy culture that hangs over those clubs and prevents them for making tough decisions that need to be made and all the jobs for the boys.

Nothing legally wrong however that video he posted on his Instagram was a poor look for our club and enough to show him the door imo.

Not long after that we have Uncle Nick drawing a line in the sand in regards to players taking illicit drugs. Coincidence??? I doubt it!

Part of being a professional coach is managing players that have ability and poor attitudes. Apparently James Maloney was I nightmare! Always late to training and constantly clowning around. He always gave 100% when he played and without him it's highly unlikely we win the 2013 competition.

The strangest part is still the upgrading of his contract only months before, maybe having the security of his upgraded contract changed his attitude.

Keary was also upgraded for an extra season but two months later retired.

On this occasion it was the player not the club but I think clubs sign players/coaches as a precaution to bolster their overall security. It is likely harder to get players to sign , than re-sign, and that plays a factor.

I also wouldn’t rule out Uncle farkin with Bullfrog mkII as he was trying to lure May from the Chookpen to the kennel.

This I think confirms what I've been saying the whole time. Robbo did not appreciate May's attitude or didn't think he "bought into the culture" of the Roosters. He's the coach, he has every right to make that call. However given we are talking about one of our best performers last year, and now we are looking at bottom of the barrel replacements to fill the void this year (e.g.

Its no big deal, we have let better players leave than Terrell May. I still haven't moved on from letting Ron Gibbs go- it still keeps me awake at night, for example tonight!
