Was bad reffing but it usually is when the Roosters are involved unfortunately. We still overcame the odds though.

I thought he wasn't too bad as refs go these days. At least let the game flow. The recounts we got from our bombs were crucial and he let them all go. Probably correctly, but I'd nearly guarantee Sutton or Klein would have found something to penalise us for in those instances.

True enough, but I'd love to know what Smith's background is in the game. The only thing I could find is that he was the NSWRL’s Club and Competitions Coordinator. Well he sure as hell bloody near co-ordinated an outcome for the saintly Pamfers tonight.

        Criminal piece of shyte!
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

You didn't imagine it, that was as Connor scored his try in the first half, got wacked around the chops.....and nothing was said.

Ahh, yes. Thank you for reminding me. I don't think it was only time he got belted and shyteforbrains looked the other way.

Exactly. There was no way he had called held. His butt had barely touched the ground. Massive chest.

I'm glad we won but that was a disgraceful performance by the ref

The Ref couldn't have done anymore to get the Panthers home. The penalty count. The pathetic sin bin. Unbelievable.

There were numerous blatantly poor calls, as there always are when we play against the Panthers.

For me, the most frustrating aspect was the lack of 6-again's that we received in the first half. We were absolutely dominating them, and historically when they do this to us, the 6-again's start flowing for them. There were probably 6-7 really bad ones where we earned a restart, and got nothing. It's always the ones we don't receive that are most infuriating.

The missed high shot on Connor, the obstructions, the sinbin, the one he ruled as a ball-plant that was clearly influenced by the defender not making any space etc. Plenty of them. Not a good performance.

What was with the sin bin? Did it even deserve a penalty? Last week Stephen Crichton planted his knees in a players back as he scored a try and didn't get binned for it....and ended up getting a token fine

GEEZ, he nearly gave that game to the Panthers. Sin-binning was a sick joke! A clear obstruction leading to one their tries, and a VERY dodgy stripping call!

you can complain about ref decisions when you win -
the obstruction on teddy near the halfway line the play before their third try wasn't pulled up
the strip on toops v marky's strip. i thought toops was on the ground, i.e. held, while marky's was less close to being held
a high shot on connor as he was falling by martin not given v a slap on the face on one of their blokes which was given
one of their blokes climbing all over connor at the play the ball early on and a penalty not given when connor dropped it
