Just watched the Foketi sin bin again. Why did the video ref even look at it? When you watch it in normal play , there wasn’t any obvious contact, and Sorensen just gets up and plays the ball. Didn’t make any claim he was hit high. Just played on but the video ref takes a closer look. Why?
He could have taken a closer look at plenty of Penrith’s tackles but chose not to. Liam Martin on Connor was an obvious one. I’m calling it clear Bias.

It's because our guys wear RW&B!
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Haha yeh that was the one.

In my head there's only one outcome from this play, we either get the penalty or Penrith get the penalty, we challenge and get the penalty.

Only Todd Smith could inconceivably find another outcome.... play on.

And what about the blatant obstruction when their bald headed fullback scored in the 2nd half?

One of the Penrith players ran straight through the defensive line, bumped into one of our guys and Edwards scores easily. Our guy probably wouldn't have been in a position to stop the try, but he was still obstructed - and obviously so. Well...to everyone except that criminal with the whistle.

I think this interpretation has changed. If they’re in no position to stop the try the interpretation has changed.

I’m going to disagree with a lot of you. I also thought Smith got things wrong only to rewind and grudgingly agree. I don’t think he was that bad. Some of the things he is being blamed for were the bunker’s responsibility. Certainly not in the same class as Sutton or the Klown.

And the pass from Nawaquinitawase was forward so hardly biased.

What about when Watson got hit high and got up slowly to try and get a penalty. They didn't even offer a replay so he had no choice but to play the ball nearly a minute later.

Even the commentator made mention of not getting a replay.

If it was one of our players it would have been a sin bin and on report!

We won the Friday night prime time game with an undermanned side of inexperienced players, away, against Penrith.

And we put 38 points on them.

But I'd rather complain about the ref.

That’s on the bunker. Not Smith.

Correct that was Penrith Panthers Referee life member, Grant Atkins who made that shocking call.

Can't Smith direct the bunker to look at it?

He's supposedly in charge of the game isn't he?

Say no more. He always seems to have particular disdain for us.

I think the Chooks should be allowed to appoint their own ref for our games.
People like Nick or Bouris should ref our games.

Or at least be allowed on the sidelines giving it too them.

So if it was Atkins bunker call to sin bin and put our player on report then today in the eels vs tigers officiated by Atkins there was an identical incident and nothing happened then went to the Ch 9 puppet Fittler to comment who changed his narrative from the other night.
