this is a big problem in the nrl's punishment system. there is no discount for if a player got sin binned or sent off. foketi is getting punished twice

Freddy was happy with the sin binning, he’s a pretty big advocate for head injuries though. But said, they have to be consistent with the calls.

did Sorensen even go off for a HIA?

On top of the sin bin, and now the charge, Liam Martin didn't even get referred on a match review for taking Watson's head off. The bunker wouldn't look at it last night yet cited Foketi a play later.

You'd think Foketi paid his dues with the 10 mins and would get a fine at most. Martin should get a week being that he (and the Panthers) got off scott free.

No intention and the guy was fine. That should come into play.

            Did Chad pass his HIA?

              I hope Foketi can be consistent & gets to be a regular in the 17, he's 19 & he's a solid brute.
I dont know who identified him.

Watson's opening try. Cole's first point of contact as Watson drives to try line and attempts to put the ball down, is shoulder to head. Probably pretty innoucous but no more so than Foketi's

                      Agree.

I thought Foketi and Losalu were very strong last night. Great futures ahead of them.

He was a standout in the trials last year when we flogged Souths I look forward to seeing him in the team throughout 2025

I don’t think the guy could have done anything different definitely not intentional I thought he played really well and only 19

Foketi tried his guts out and I want to see him in the 17 every week. If we are letting the likes of May go, it should be because we have full faith in these younger forwards coming through. Not so we can go and get fringe first graders and wantaways from other clubs.

I think the whole thing was crap & rate it a penalty at worst. There are dozens of incidents like that in every single game. I also hate it that there is no benefit or exemption if a player falls into a defender. If a tackler is committed then the attacker drops, is tripped, falls etc then the defender just can’t vanish. Also garbage that it’s a first offence & they jump straight to a grade 2 & try & put doubt into a kids head now moving forward.

Anyone watching Eels v Tigers? Parramatta player has just smashed a Tigers attacker flush on the chin with a leading shoulder as the first contact made and it's only a penalty the NRL don't even hide their bias
