Gavin Badger is no longer a consultant for Souffs hence why Kasey Badger can now officiate Souffs games.

      100%

He'll eventually decide a game in the Panthers favour with a howler of a decision. This could be human error, biasedness or subconsciously bias. It does happen!

The media will put the spotlight on the matter forcing Graham Annesley to ban Atkins form officiating Panthers games.

Fair enough opinion. However, what if I was refereeing first grade. I came from Souths juniors who are associated with the senior club. Would that preclude me from reffing Souths? What if I wasn’t a Souths supporter?

All refs should have to declare the team that they support when they sign their contracts (the same way players nominate their state/country allegiances). They should then be disqualified from those teams. If they or their family then become associated with a club, then they should also be disqualified from those teams.

Nothing and I mean NOTHING brings me more joy than watching the Roosters get hammered! AND it’s at their home ground… chefs kisses

She should be reported to the integrity unit.

            That is unacceptable.

            Thanks for posting it Red.

1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

What about players? What about them playing against a team they grew up supporting?

and whilst on the refs, are you happy with say the number 4 ref getting the job because refs 1 to 3 happen to support the GF teams? What about origin? Do you get a ref from England?

His Dad ( Graeme Atkins) played for both Parramatta and Eastern Suburbs so should he referee any games involving these teams?

No problem with him refereeing any games as he has no current connection with any team

His father Graeme is a life member of Parramatta not Grant the referee

Players play for their team. Do you see players throwing games? We are talking about ref bias. Regarding GFs and SOO, Ashley Klown officiated last year's SOO series and we all know how incapable he is. If that means getting English refs for big games then so be it. I would rather bias be removed completely from officiating the game.
