You have to take into account that Mark is 24. When JAS reaches that age he could very well be a better player.

Less wrestling sessions, more skills based sessions please. It's a joy to watch.
Mark Nawaqanitawase reminded me of SKD with his agility to beat and get past the defender, if he can hold on to the ball better and not rush up off his line like SKD did he will be incredible

Staggering difference in salaries and you could argue that Marky Mark is the better player.
Suaalii is signed based on potential, they'd be hoping that not only he's a consistent part of the Australian national team for the next 10-15 years but also that commercially he becomes one of the biggest faces of the Wallabies and Australian Rugby.

Wonder what he would've got salary wise if he stayed in the NRL? Million a season?

Marky have made a smooth transition from right wing to left centre - Suaali had struggles moving to the left and from wing to centre

Marky was great in rugby going looking for work and making many tackle breaks being unorthodox and hard to tackle
I hadn’t seen much of his passing game though but he has looked great getting the ball away before and in contact

for the money between Suaali and Marky N for what we are paying id know who I would rather have

Suaali needs to learn the skillset and beat defenders rather then try and make the difficult running at and over opponents

Rugby Aus gave him an offer of around $600k so higher then us but he knocked it back to o challenge himself in the nrl
Although yes the desperate game roughed feathers by offering a kid this obscene Money for potential

It was a master stroke by Robbo to get him at the chooks.
Identified the potential, made the enquries due to him probably dropping back a peg because of Suaalii and then the signing.
I don't think there was ever anyone else in the picture.
He got us a potential superstar at a very cheap price. But for only two years and Marky has said he would consider going back to yawnion. That would be tragic if he continues on his current path.
Hopefully we can offer much more than RU at the time.

Suaalii signing of course was about signing a very good player with great upside yet to come in his game - however RU were really struggling at the time - none of our teams from Wallabies to Super Rugby level were performing and they were loosing traction with even their staunch supporter base - i think much of the price in Suaalii contract was advertising - it created headlines for 18months and got a buzz around that sport again.

Mark is much better value than Suaalii and has more experience. I thought he would be good on the wing where he mainly played in Union. But he is a great straight running center who can set up players inside or outside. He only needs to learn more defence in League centers. I think he is ahead of Suaalii at this stage. Billy Smith when fit is as good. Toia needs to improve defence a bit. Robbo has some selection problems if they all stay fit. Ideally we keep them all long term.

Suaalii is top shelf & was very good for the Chooks last year
So far so good for Marky Mark.

Mark looks really confident too - which is great considering he has only played 3 games of rugby league.

I think the centres is the hardest position to defend in, so i think we need to cut Mark and Toia some slack this year in defence. So far they have both done well in the 2 games, even the first round flogging from the Broncs
