Sam Walker and Sandon Smith are the future so get over it - Going to be hard to keep a stack of quality halves plying their trade in the pathways if Sam and Sandon are long career Roosters though but you still need to develop such players - Sandon signed to 2026 and Sam to 2027.

May is gone so get over it as well - gees how many more posts? - would rather see Taylor Losalu get a shot having come through the pathways and has the work ethic as well.

      Hey Sally,

Seeing you're privy to all the Roosters contracts. How much is Sandon Smith on?

And whilst you're at it. How about Daniel Tupou?

Let me know when you're done as there is a long list of players to get through.

Would probably be the least logical of any rumour we've recently been linked with, and that says a lot.

I don't think anyone believes that except you, Salvo. The club tried to replace him with Ben Hunt or Shaun Johnson in the offseason, he's got 31 games in the NRL now and his best was probably last week, unless he plays incredible for season 2025 I don't see him being a long term option for us.

I think Sandon is destined to either being a backup half somewhere, a bench utility or Super League.

Exactly this is where we say we are building the younger guys up but also look for the experience in a short term option
all of a sudden we throw baits at Johnson, Gagai and hunt
also potential for Elliot or rodwell to go around samdon at some point
It seems a make or break season for sandon to hold the 6 jersey

Hows about seeing how he goes against the warriors. He might've taken a heap of confidence outta last week

Moley having the same feeling that Hoops had in regard to us signing Moses.

Would be happy to give him the year to prove himself as we don't have better options. That way if he isn't successful we can say he had 29 games on the bench or as injury replacement and a full year at 6 to prove himself and he did not.

Personally I hope he goes out there and kills it against the Warriors.

Sandon looks really good when he runs the football it was really noticeable that when the pigs provided a bit of go forward he started to run and he’s quick too good goal kicker you can see why the club rates him i was impressed with his performance last week see how he goes against the warriors

I believe we should focus on our young up and coming players as they are our future, instead of any short time gain by buying older players that could set back the schedule for these young guns to gain valuable experience. This should be our priority no matter how many losses it may entail because these guys have shown they can beat the best of the best so let them gain the essential experience which will advance their development.

Honestly one reason I'm glad we beat the Riff is that it proves to the doubters on here that halves aren't our biggest problem. Yes if we make the finals and need somebody to steer the ship during clutch moments then they'll play a big part.

However, Penrith had none other than Nathan Cleary (playing GREAT footy - even on an off day he's farking good) on the weekend and we won. Why? Because we won the battle.

Yes the halves were good esp Chad but certainly Sandon shone as well. The game was close right to the end and I don't buy the 'Riff being flat or jet lagged they were dangerous all game. What I saw was that Jarome Luai's attack was sorely missed as the game went on. We saw the difference that he made to the Tigpies on Sunday. He'll have Galvin looking like a world beater in time, he's a similar style half to Cleary.

I agree with Luai being sorely missed,he will be the only one that’s left the Club since their success who can’t be replaced..

                              And JFH imo.

3 key players to the Panthers success were Cleary, Luai and JFH.

The Tigers signing Luai will see them climb mid table this season.

Only if he stays fit but I hope so.
