    • Good game we made far to many errors tonight but tried hard bit of inexperience out wide defended well though we missed Connor it is what it is Billy will come back in next week imo I’d pick the concretor too tough dude would have been handy in the middle

          • The Roosters need a way to balance the attack - Too much left side - Sandon / Angus/Mark/Toops that side - Toia and Young looked like shags on a rock at times with the little clean ball they saw.

Toops seems to be surprised whenever he makes a line break - 2 line breaks which should have been converted into points - I remember an Anzac game vs Dragons when he didn't back himself after making the line break and looked for support instead.

Set completions and errors always a telling factor in games
            • Set Completions - Warriors 86% ( 38/44) - Roosters 70% ( 28/40)
            • Tackles - Roosters 448 ( 34 missed ) - 92% - Warriors 382 ( 42 missed) - 89%
            • Errors - Roosters 13 - Warriors 8
            • Penalties/Set Restarts - Roosters 7 - Warriors 3

We never got close enough to put up a bomb. Our kicks all had to be long.

              • Poor miss by Toops which unfortunately was the match winner - how a week makes a difference

Is this Dom Young damage control?

                  • Good effort, but warriors played the conditions better, I would have taken a boring win.

Teddys worst game? Without Teddy we have no chance, busts his gut, and his workload his made tougher by our wingers throwing him the ball instead of taking the hit up.

feel sorry for him, wish a few more played with half his energy.

side note, that bunker ruling of no knock-on against the warriors was laughable, that is ALWAYS called a knock-on, and will continue to always be called a knock-on.

                    • I’m not too upset by the result at all.
To be fair my expectations were low for this year. Losing 14-6 over in NZ after such a high from last week is probably what I really thought would happen.

I never want us to lose but can live with tonight’s result.

                      • I followed it play by play on the nrl site which sucked. Every other update was a Roosters dropped ball. That's been the Roosters way for a frustratingly long time.

Nope, not at all. As if that was Dom Young who missed that tackle as Toops did, you would be on here blowing up deluxe about it.

Not sure what you have against Dom Young, and I am getting bad vibes about it, as you don't nit-pick other players the same way, and you seem to have some infatuation with Dom Young for whatever reason that is.

                          • My pre-game concerns about how Savala would be used were telling.

The Warriors got us in the end of the game due to energy. We needed an extra forward on the reserves especially after two HIA’s to Watson and a high performing Radley.

At 6’4” he’s too tall to play dummy half. Unless he fills out to become an Isaah Yeo style player, I’m not sure how they fit him in as a replacement.

                            • Glad robbo and teddy both mentioned

it was sitting right there for us to win - and we lost it

handling errors at crucial times, key players particularly edge guys not finishing

and mainly we didn’t stay in the grind we tried to hard to go for the knock out blow instead of grind it out

at least it was truthful this time around

It’s as good as the old tupou spare winger on the bench
why have a back up half when you allready have a utility
losalu or Roberts could have been used better
steep in not effective in the middle
