Gawd if there’s one question I would ask of him it would be why is this so…Why is it the basics are too hard for him to coach.

I used to love Warren Smith but his commentary has taken a nose dive, hope he's doing ok.

A lot to like about that performance particularly with the context of the trials and round 1 on another night where the ball sticks we could've put 30 on them. Under the pump all game but still held the Wahs out until the last 10 minutes, under manned too. The usual whingers will be happy with a loss.

I know I am not one of the usual whingers but were we watching the same game.

One that got away from the boys tonight. Just not enough shots at them esp in that 2nd half. Desperately needed a penalty or 6 again. To the Warriors credit their defence upped the ante in the 2nd half. We were brave in dee too, but just ran out of gas. Couple of our experienced guys who often get us out of trouble like Teddy and Toups were a touch off their best tonight.

We missed Connor bigtime, people underestimate what he brings to the team. ZDC tried hard credit due. Won't be surprised if Billy comes in for Rob next week.

Radley, Whyte & Leniu all great. If we can get another couple of middles back next week I think we look really strong in the middle, was evident when they were off the field how much we were hurting.

Watson out of next weeks game is a real concern, thought he's been our best over opening 2 rounds and was doing so much work in that first 40.

Dom Young, soft in yardage, too much sideways running, minimal post contact yardage, Toops getting worn out every week having to carry this guy in the backfield. I'd give young Rodwell a go, doesn't have anywhere near the athleticism but is all heart.

Great defence from us, although may be more just how inept the Warriors attack was. That really was a hard watch, they play some really dry football.

Clear that Townsend isn't an organsier, I'd be giving Sandon the halfback gig until Walker gets back. Plays much more up tempo which suits our style and makes much better decisions with ball in hand.

Disappointing game from the centres but they've been brilliant in the opening two rounds - just the reality of what you're going to get with sub 50 game players - inconsistency.

Teddy needs to learn how to control his emotion, he never should've challenged that and it's clear the refs don't like him.

Fair do's to the bunker for not calling out the bullshit acting for penalties this year but at the same time how the Warriors won that challenge I'll never know. 30 HD cameras, all in ultra slow mo and you still can't get the simple calls right....
