  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Warriors

It’s great to have the build up and pre-match buzz back. The first couple of games this year I wasn’t feeling much excitement at all. Just anxiety at the thought of us not being able to compete too hard this season. Very happy to be proven wrong last week.

We don’t want last week’s victory to be a one off. We need to be consistent and push every team no matter who it is. Tonight let’s build on what we did and show everyone that no matter who’s wearing the jersey, they will play with pride and give their all.

It will be great to have Rads and Spencer back.

    Kick-off 6pm.

    GO ROOSTERS!

      Gotta be realistic here.

      Roosters - 86
      Warriors - 4

That'll fix our dodgey for and against.

Coming off one of the great upsets of Easts history. How do the guys bounce off that? I think they'll put on another good show this week. Confidence and self belief is everything, and the lads got a huge boost last week.

Our bench is weakened in the pack losing Lindsay and Foketi from the original team. It doesn't inspire fear, but it is what it is...and look what happened 7 days ago.

Our clashes against the Warriors at home are usually exciting and turbulent contests. Strap yourself in. And if you didn't like Todd Smith last week...although Klein isn't as obvious as Sutton in delighting in nailing us.

Thank goodness the Wahs Coach keeps playing Roger on the wing. The most bizaare selection in the current game, CNK not fit to tie his bootlaces. Rog can still hurt us though.

Looking forward to the game. Liked Sandon running and taking the line against Penrith. We are a tougher more experienced pack this week to start.

Expecting a possible cliffhanger. Go Easts.

Just happy to watch the young guys improve.

              No expectations this year.

The Wahs will be htb over there. Obviously hoping for a win but not that confident.

              Go Easts.

Who knows what warriors or roosters sides will turn up today

warriors waste rts on the wing he should be there fullback - way ahead of CNK

warriors have a great starting front row but there bench is not the best

hoping Leniu and rads strengthens the forwards. Interesting bench with ZDC and savala

                chooks by 6

teddy and the back 5 to have a big game

That’s true but we did it with the team of last week. Rads and Spencer just because they are big names doesn’t mean much as they were part of a team which just couldn’t beat Penrith. I’m glad the old guard has gone and I think we don’t really need them to be honest. We proved last week with the right tactics and mindset we can beat any side without Walker, Collins, Radley and Spencer. These big name players have not come through except Walker when it really counts so I hope Robbo has his axe in hand if they don’t win comfortably today.

Anyone know if Jake Elliott got injured in NSW Cup noticed he got subbed off inside the first 25 minutes.

Edit: Seems the NSWRLwebsite got players names mixed up and have changed the substitution and appears Elliott is fine and didn't get subbed off.
