  • I thought it was a great effort by the guys against a team that beat Manly and were playing at home in slippery conditions. Really happy with our defence.
Losing Watto for half a game was telling.
We bombed 3 tries. They scored off a lucky chip and their other two opportunities stuck. That was the difference.
Still missing Collins, Nbutch, Ebutch, Sammy and now Watto next week.
I thought Lenui was huge tonight.
    Marky gets better every week.
Tough lesson for Toia but he's a future superstar and will get better.

    3 - Lenui
    2 - Marky
    1 - Teddy

    • Came away from the loss a tad disappointed, because if we just were a bit better in attack on some of our chances and didn’t lose Watson I think we would have won. When ZDC comes on Robbo seems to switch Watson to lock which frees him up and Watson is able to expose and open up the defence easier. Unfortunately Watson was HIA. Other than that, I thought we really showed some gumption in defence, and I was surprised with the amount of territory and possession the warriors had we didn’t crack earlier.

I thought our forwards were fantastic. Townsend was great, Teddy, Tupou and Mark N were as well. S Smith and Toia not so much, but it’s only round 3 and their still learning the ropes. Dom Young was great under the high ball and better in defence, he just needs to straighten his yardage carries. Way too sideways and his centre of gravity is too upright, so he gets hammered too easily.

Again, while attack wasn’t as good as last week, I was really happy to see our defence stand up. Onto the Titans next week.
      EASTS TO WIN!

What I never see you do though is criticise players or the team, you're usually labelling people as fake fans or fair weathered for such things. I just think it's odd timing, that's all. But hey I hope you continue, certainly great to see you posting your own thoughts for a change.

I also know what you're trying to insinuate with the vibes comment and it's not appreciated, you shouldn't make such flippant comments on the back of some lazy analysis of correlation.
Always my opinions though except for the stats I post and stories from the club site etc

Yes I label people as that as I can have an opinion about their opinions as well - This isn't Communist China/North Korea or Putin's Russia where you cannot question others opinions. - Seems to me that opinions can't be questioned on here and like commo style we are supposed to accept these without question - It's a democracy in Australia.

You have been on Dom's back since day one though and never explaining why - who else posts images of his so called "errors" and wants him banished from the side - even today you are advocating for Tom Rodwell to replace him although you admit he is an inferior player. -why would that be ?

" Dom Young, soft in yardage, too much sideways running, minimal post contact yardage, Toops getting worn out every week having to carry this guy in the backfield. I'd give young Rodwell a go, doesn't have anywhere near the athleticism but is all heart"

In one sentence you say I never explain why and then in the next you quote me explaining why.

For someone who seems to have a lot of intellect you also seem to lack a lot of common sense.

Agreed with most although I thought Marky Mark & Toops had a mixed night, they really should’ve iced at least one of their opportunities in attack and they conceded 2 soft tries down their edge.

New combo though so expect some teething issues, great to see how much they are creating though. Without Walker we need a bit of a spark.

                  Now there's a tantalising thought.
Walker and Marky Mark combination .

Toops made metres but had a poor game execution wise in attack and defense. One has to say - 2 errors and 3 missed tackles (made 4), including the missed tackle on Leiataua, which was poor to say the least - what a difference a week makes. The pass to the touch judge after the line break capped off his poor night. 2 line breaks in total, which should have resulted in points. Toops needs to be better than that, being one of the most experienced players in the side

Hard to say as the Roosters do favour the left side in attack- need to have a more balanced attack and utilise Toia and Young better as well.

For Toia, yes, for sure. Sandon Smith is now 32 games into his career so we can't use the excuse for him. He should be used to first grade now and should've been able to offer something when we're chasing a result with 10 mins left.

                        • So Next week Watson out too

Collins should be back off the bench so presume ZDC to 9 and savala holds the 14

any ideas on the butcher bros?

                          • I think toia deserves another chance next week - he was find in defence and okay in attack apart from the handling errors - one was teddys bad pass - if he isn’t there next week then bring Billy back

Billy smith needs more game time - only 2 games so far in the cup

such a shame on Marky N that would have been a brilliant try

pretty sure there was contact with dom's head when dom kicked it and the defender jumped up. not a cut and dried penalty but video refs have given penalties for less
