If there paying Tyreece Tait $80k thats way overs. I've now seen him play 2 NSW CUP games and his defence is atrocious, pushed aside worse than Dom young. If hes flagged to replace Toups, things are looking bleak for the future in terms of wingers.

Tyreece is only 19 so has a lot of footy in front of him.

I think Radley's days of playing dummy half are over, he's beefed up a lot since he last played there.
Has he though? His profile has him at 92kgs, the 3rd lightest player in our 17 after Sandon & Chad.

I also noticed DLS Va’a has grown in the off season. Now listed as 200cm & 121kgs

There’s definitely potential there, he’s a beautiful mover in open space. Just needs to get more involved in yardage carries and you’re right there’s some defensive concerns there. Nothing Daniel Tupou didn’t have to overcome early on in his career also and he’s still a teenager so shouldn’t be writing him off yet. But based on recent showings I would agree he’s still a a long way of first grade.

Billy Smith not named in NSW Cup. Last couple of games he's been named in the first-grade squad and in the NSW Cup team.

I wonder if Toia will be having a spell in NSW Cup?

Don't think it's a case of he hasn't been named, rather there seems to be fault with the team list as neither Canberra or Roosters are showing who the left centre is. Even if they haven't named anyone it would usually be left blank.

And only three interchange. Pauga is also on the ‘out’

I rate Pauga -not necessarily in front of any of our current backs but it doesn't bother me when he is in the side - he can find the line, backs up very well and is quick. I don't recall his defence being an issue either. I think he is a great depth player to have and hope he's sticking around. Problem is we already have a strong outside back replacement in B Smith/ R Toia combo. Hard to have faith in Billy's durability though i know but his talent is undeniable in my opinion. I really hope he can overcome his injury curse.

Not named in either side so may be injured
I think would be our next backup after Billy smith if available

He is injured - back complaint that kept him out two weeks ago and he played last week but it flared up again unfortunately.

                          From a link Salvo posted

Although Junior Pauga returned from a back injury last round and completed the game he was inconvenienced at various times through the match and will miss, at least, this Round 4 game. Ben Johnson returns to the side in Pauga’s right centre spot. Halfback Toby Rodwell drops back to play in a vital S.G. Ball Cup game on Saturday and his replacement will be announced closer to kick off time.

De LaSalle Vaa has had a golden staph infection that could have killed him. He has lost a lot of weight and fitness so will be out for months.

It's a real shame for him as this looked like it was going to be his season to break through but with that context I'm sure he and the family are just relieved to be diagnosed and hopefully on the mend as I believe there was a period of time there when they were unsure what was wrong with him.

I’ve never had more interest in reserve grade than I do now. Chooks v Canberra in the capital
