  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Titans

Heading into this match, many would have marked it as a must-win game. It’s one of the more manageable matchups in our opening seven rounds. Sitting at 1-3 isn’t an option, we need these two points.

Last week, the effort was there, but too many errors cost us. You can’t expect to win when you’re constantly turning over possession and giving the opposition prime field position.

Tonight, we welcome some experienced players back into the side. If the effort remains strong and our execution improves, we should come out on top.

Kick-off at 6pm. Let’s get the job done.

    GO ROOSTERS

very confident about this one, the chooks are on the up and will get plenty of confidence out of a solid performance and two competition points today.

I think we'll win but it might not be as clear cut as we hope, we usually struggle against the Titans no matter how good our teams are.

Their halves may struggle in the kicking department. I don’t think either are recognised kickers.

They also have never played at the ground. Of their entire squad, only Verrills & RCG have played there when with us & Parra respectively.

Some poddie named the Titans' pack and I was a little bit scared of it. Tino, Fifita, RCG (he still plays with that porn star mo?) and 'the other Haas' is probably no better than Collins, Crichton, Leniu, Rads, Whyte, Butch...etc.

This will come down to effort and desire IMO.
                  - Fark around and it'll all be Tino and Fifita running straight through the middle of us with commentators claiming their backs are the Harlem Globetrotters.
                  - Don't fark around? Marky Mark and Toops will run in a few meat pies and we'll take the lollies.

It's going to be a slippery track this evening.
Started raining this morning in the East.

The team that executes a solid kicking game and whose forward pack dominates will get the 2 points.

I've been happy with our defence the last couple of games. If that holds up and our passes stick we will go close.
The Titans played well last week. They aren't the easy-beats they used to be.
It should be a good game.

                      GO EASTS.

We've had our big win and our big loss. This game should show us where we are.

Interestingly on his poddie, Todd Carney backed Chad Townsend to pin the Titans in the corner with his kicking game. He's played with him and is an expert on halves (though he and Pearce would both benefit from some basic articulation and less repetition in their speech).

Be interesting to see if that's what Chad offers.

Dunno what to think about Brimson and Campbell really! Two guys who have been predicted to set the world on fire but haven't really. Yeah I really dunno!!!
