The old case of they were beasts & the size of men playing against boys, but seem very injury prone & soft against the real men. They were good against smaller opponents, but I haven’t seen that much to carry over, although I also think they grew so big they just don’t know how to use their size yet. I’d like to think they will make it, but I could see others passing them & then them packing up & heading home to QLD
WOW already writing off 19 and 21 year old front rowers. Laughable tbh.

I think you probably are, too early to make such a call.

Dragons have such players, their defence was too good for the Storm.
Slick passing, nice pass from Flanagan to Holmes, he ran through the Storm centre at pace and scored try.
Why don't we have Flanagan and Holmes? Dragons beat the Storm.
Heaven help us on Anzac Day!
We beat the Riff. Upsets happen as it's difficult to prepare for shyte teams (and to get up for these games).

I don't think our solution for this season's woes is having May, Keary, Holmes and Flanno on our books (assuming they'd even wanna play for us!!!)

Totally get the temptation to look at teams that have just won and say we'd win every week with 1 or 2 of their troops. However, the reality is that things are more systematic than that.

A week in reggies for Steep? Easts are having a season in reggies if people didn't notice. IMO Strep was one of our best on Friday in an unfortunate loss (where we just couldn't score!!! Not his fault in that department... it's ad-hoc but what we needed was almost a bit of LUCK... bag Townsend but he nailed his 10m drop-out and that little sideways grubber... we simply didn't get our fingers in the right spot at the right time on either).

It'll be game by game this season and a tough one to watch (with no quick fixes). Sit back... grab an Aperol spritz / limoncello... and chillax from the sidelines while it all unfolds. No need to cry out for Terrell May and old mate Flanno to be our saviour every faaarkin week!!! Both can get farked as they're long gone any as I said... our current issues are SYSTEMATIC. LOTS of players left and Robbo took the time to say 'well fark it, let's do a complete clean-out then!!!' I've seen glimmers of hope in many new/young players but it'll all take time. In the meanwhile... having cash in the BANK for when QUALITY players come on the market (e.g. Reece Robson) is far more valuable than buying every faaaarkin bandaid solution that we can think of to try and semi-rescue this season. Doing so is illogical because we can win without them and need to better our current players (who we have faith in)... not hope they'll magically come good in reggies.

One of them was on deaths door the other week. Need to give them time to grow. At least a couple seasons playing first grade.
Maybe we should bring back Dan Kilian?

              I don't rate them either.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Va’a boys too young to rate yet but Lindsay and Spencer are not in JWH’s league of leading the pack both are decent enough but not the Big Dog, We need to find a Payne Hass type Front Rower.

Don’t think we have seen enough of either of them as of yet Mickie - need them to get a few games in a row under their belts at least imo.

Not too many of them in NRL right now mate maybe just 1. I actually really like what we see from that Ethan Bullimore kids from Manly - just goes 100mph when on the field - not sure if he’s a middle or an edge but I think they use him for both. I know he’s not a Payne Haas or JWH but he does have a very strong work ethic and never admits he’s tackled. Off contract this year as well.

Flanagan please BB you have officially lost the plot. He couldn’t improve the Coogee Wombats. Week in week out he is pedestrian and maybe once a year plays like a first grade half when his forwards are running amok.
