since rads switched to the edge, it became a matter of who was better value - sitili or wong. to still have sitili would be useful but he never reached great heights.
letting go may was an odd one given we'd just extended his contract and the issue has been exacerbated by his replacement, va, not being able to play, not to mention two of our other middles only playing half the games, and you can throw rads missing 3 games worth of playing time in the first 5.

Who cares who is involved? All concerned have been chasing their tails for the past few years. The big name signings have been busts, Brandon Smith spectacularly, Spencer might even turn out worse because of the monumentally stupid decision to upgrade his contract to $850K a year, based on a few runs off the fence against a horrible Dragons team. Dom is less of a surprise because so many Knights fans were willing to pack his bags the moment he signed for us.

Those guys all quoted have been doing all in their powers to sign a replacement for Keary to play alongside Walker. Firstly Hunt and now DCE. Sandon Smith was never seen as his partner, hence playing mostly off the bench previously.
Heresy unless you quote or name of an actual source though.

Not sure if Knights fans would be doing that and packing Dom's bags - disappointed more than likely that he did re-sign with them and sad to see him go - 51 games and 43 tries

mmm who cares well they either run the club or have senior positions at the club so they can be relied on for their footy knowledge in signing and or retaining players. - Not every signing works out no matter what team sport it is.

As far as Hunt goes his signing would have been to play half until Walker came back and then Hunt would be switched to Dummy Half since Brandon Smith was on the outer as we all know - Hunt decided he had unfinished business in Bronco Land - 2015 GF

Coach Robinson has repeated this from last season

In fact, Robinson spoke openly last season about how Smith and Sam Walker were going to be the halves in 2025... until the latter ruptured his ACL... two months after Townsend’s signing was announced.

As far as DCE goes it hadn't been discussed as Coach Robinson said but would be looked at - DCE hasn't said he will play on in any case.

I would only evaluate if the Sandon Smith and Sam Walker combo is workable until they played enough games together - Sam has a high opinion of Sandon by the way.

Sam Walker has spoken highly of Sandon Smith, stating he's a close friend and believes Smith will step up and do a good job, especially after Smith's performance and first NRL try.

"I think he really put his hand up in that game," Walker on Nine's Sunday Footy Show.

"It would've been a massive confidence booster for him. He's got all the skill. He was a touch player from the Central Coast and he showed all that skill last night.

"For him to get his first NRL try will give him a lot of encouragement, hopefully he goes on from there."
