Thaaar be rough seas ahead said the cap'n. Any self-help tips for what's gonna help you through this storm?
Mine are:
- Walk the dog.
- Homebrew and grappa. Fortunately my cabinet it well stocked as I did two batches earlier on and bought a heap of grappa from Italy.
- Give mum a call. She's in her late 80's (dad would be in his early hundreds) and it's easy to forget what you've got until it's gone.
- Running. Though it's a big part of my lifestyle to run long distances every day, a cheap 'win' at a Saturday parkrun / funrun can be a good little ego boost. Tomorrow I don't care what my program says... I'm jogging to the biggest PR in my region and farkin smashing one out to crush all the local youngsters. Big stack of pancakes and a coffee after. Jizzy needs a release...
- Gaming. Currently working through an epic (Japanese) turn by turn strategy game series on my Sega Saturn. Think ~3h marathon style battles where you're always outnumbered & outgunned (backed into a corner against the odds), the board changes multiple times to disadvantage you further and unless you nail your strategy you're faaaarked. Epic music and dialogue (all complex political moves with alliances flaking all over the place)... love it. My sorta gaming!!! I also have an online RPG on my Dreamcast that I've neglected... I'll be back at it soon for sure.
