Watch how they played against Panthers.
10/10 completions to start the game.
No dumb penalties given away by them.
Slick passing across the field to Johnston who scored in the corner.
No dropping the ball by them.
They let the other team make the mistakes.
Big, strong, muscular prop ran at the line at pace, try!
If we don't change our team that played the Titans, and keep Young on his wing guarding the sideline, Johnston will score 6 tries.
Penalty, then 6 again, Souths scored try.
Souths playing style suits the modern refereeing style.
We need to change our playing style to be the same as Souths.
For the Souths game we need a bigger right centre than Toia (he's the future, but we need 'now').
Play a forward there if need be.
Leniu right centre...try something different.
Makatoa maybe, Latrell will have to be stopped.
We were done over by the big Titans.
Souths will likely have all the ball, defence will be key.

They beat the useless Dolphins, just beat Saints and beat Panthers without Cleary and Edwards. Even we beat Panthers. The only challenge they’ve had was against Sharks and they got smashed.
Surely we are hurting after the last 2 loses and the opportunity to get one up against the arch enemy should have us firing. Plus it looks like their best player for the year will be benched cause some schmuck is returning from injury. Let’s hope so anyway.
I have no fear of them. Bring it on!

I agree with you about Young. Alex Johnston stands half a metre in from the touch line in attack and waits for his opposing winger to run in- easy pickings for Cody Walker to either cut out pass or kick in behind. Its why so many of Johnstons tries are scored with him being untouched. The up and in defence doesn't work against smart halves- staying on your opposing winger and relying on your inside centre to aim and number up in defence is the way to go.
I remember in the old days when wingers used to take it personally when the opposite winger would score a try and you were coached stick to your opposite winger no matter what. How many times to you see in the modern game a winger run and leaving his man unmarked that ends up scoring a try. Its like " if you cant make the overlap ill run in and make it for you". Frustrating

No coach in the League would leave 2 time Premiership, SOO & Australian player Collins out & no coach in the League would leave 3 time Premiership winner & SOO player Leniu out.
I think what happened when we played Penrith were the guys who came into the side for all the big names that were out was that they could play without being overawed by the big names, its like a pecking order & if Collins, Leniu, Radley & Butcher are playing the new guy won't tread on toes but because they weren't there blokes like Losalu, Foketi & Makatoa just played their natural game without being intimated.

I hate Souffs and I don't cope too well when they beat us.
My halves pairing would be
6. Toby Rodwell
7. Sandon Smith
Failing that I'd switch them around. Anything but Chad Townsend who should head over to England and top us his retirement fund playing ESL.

They won’t fear, they’ll be excited for the challenge.
Now that Vic has been ruled out, I think Foketi can be brought straight back in. From what I’ve seen from him, he doesn’t seem overawed by playing first grade and would suit being played in the local derby for just that.
Cmon, let’s get it on
