  • The season is over - we won't make the 8

Not sure what else to say, we just don't have the players.

    We have;

    - very little in attack
    - a questionable forward pack as far as go forward is concerned

    That basically sees us out.

mate, the season isn't over. we're not likely to make the 8 but we need to make this season count. we play for premierships and we need to use this season as a building block to do just that.
and, for the record, while we're unlikely to make the 8, losing 3 games isn't terminal

We were never making the top 8 this season. I just hope to see the young, some of who were promoted before they should have been, turn into genuine first graders by the end of the season.

No smashings and the occasional upset against a higher rated side would be nice too. And of course we must beat Souths twice and win on Anzac Day.

If our starting halfback Walker plays lastnight we would’ve been up 24-0 at halftime. We set the platform beautifully but lacked the icing on the cake.

Agreed, million dollar question is will the season be too far gone by the time Walker gets back?

What were your expectations before Rd1?

At no stage did I think we would make the 8.

it's clear from not buying anyone other than Townsend, that the Club have a long term plan, and this yr is what it is. The coach said otherwise when asked, but he has to say that.

I'm frustrated as well but it's not as bad when you have no expectations.

Not over as only 4 rounds have been played - is Penrith's season over as they are on the same comp points

                2nd half vs Titans
                • 39% completion rate - Match 57%
                • 12 errors - Match 19
                • 2 penalties - Match 8
                • 1 set restart - Match 1

Have to be better across the board in all the basics and over 80 minutes as individuals and as a team

The Titans are no mug side either

I will give the team another 4 to 6 weeks to try and make sense of things.

Re the Bulldogs - are Sitilli, Curran, Preston, DSF and King all from our ' system ' ?? Gee they play with energy and purpose.

Let's aim up next Friday lads. Start with the concreter.

                      Yes, except for King.

Preston is the one that cuts deep.
He was always killing it in our junior system.

Mate the season was over before it started.

Most of us could see it!
