It's a shame! Looks like it might be the most open comp in a long time and we should be 3 from 4. I suspect losing games that we dominate for long periods will not be an infrequent occurance. Especially with defense and halves that go missing at the back end of games.

At no stage did I think we would make the 8.
it's clear from not buying anyone other than Townsend, that the Club have a long term plan, and this yr is what it is. The coach said otherwise when asked, but he has to say that.
I'm frustrated as well but it's not as bad when you have no expectations.

It all depends really, if we can snag a few wins as we currently are and then Walker/Smith return mid season and we go on a winning streak we very well could make the 8, it also might be too little too late and we finish bottom 4.
Sam Walker and even Brandon Smith on their very best days are incredible footballers and could potentially knock off competition heavyweights if need be.

If we fix our discipline then every chance for a top 8 spot. If not about 12th at best. Normally we don’t lose because the other side is better but by handing over the match to them through poor discipline. But Robbo will never fix that or he doesn’t know how.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

Let’s be honest after letting JWH,Keary,Manu,Suaalii, Sitilli,May go and before the season started knowing Walker and Smith wouldn’t be back until July we were never making the 8. It’s not a surprise is it. TBH we will be lucky to avoid the bottom 4. The sole signing was a washed up Chad. Surely nobody expected a top 8 finish?
For me it’s a matter of siting back with not too much expectation and seeing how our younger players develop and see who of our experienced players can step up. If we won every second game from here on in I would be delighted. We probably won’t do that good.
Im sure the club has some good signings around the corner for 2026. Robson is a good start we need 3 more I think. A 6, a prop and maybe another winger as to have to rely on an aging Toups next year and a mistake riddled Dom Young is dangerous. love Toups however. Hopefully Billy Smith can stay healthy and it alleviates the need for a wing signing as we can use him and move Marky Mark to wing.

Every coach, player and team in the NRL, win, lose or draw, will analyse the should haves and could haves after the weekend in an effort to identify areas that could have changed results, identify deficiencies, improve the next performance and understand where their team is at relative to the opposition. As you are clearly an intelectual giant when it come to rugby league; I would love to hear your pre game analysis and stategic breaak down of ths weeks game prior to kick off rather than the shit talk post game. C'mon big man, help Robbo out.

Do agree with you on your bottom part, we need another half (Walker can play 6), desperately need a good prop and a good winger or centre to replace Tupou.
