High Noon has several interpretations - a critique of McCarthyism and Hollywood's "Black List" and the cowardice of the town's folk to stand up to injustice.

The second one is that Marshal Will Kane (Gary Cooper) symbolises the USA. He helped the Town Folk by cleaning up the town and what not and when he asks for their help they refuse to help him out of fear and self-interest, etc.

12 Angry Men has a few interpretations - people's prejudice being one and another one sometimes overlooked - court-appointed lawyers/legal system - the old if you cannot afford a lawyer, then one will be appointed to you by the courts.

The standard of such lawyers ranges from good to very poor and even disinterested - something Davis (Henry Fonda) mentions -" I kept putting myself in the boy's place. I would have asked for another lawyer. I mean, if I were on trial for my life, I'd want my lawyer to tear the prosecution's witnesses to shreds, or at least try to" etc.

Was thinking about this yesterday but the exciting/sad part about the Chooks this year is if they stayed healthy despite being a rebuild year it really is a side that you'd expect to make the 8 and could've even potentially made the top 4.

Check out our strongest 17, this team would be top 4 right now I think, could only see them having lost to the Broncos in round 1:

Not sure what else to say, we just don't have the players.

We have;

- very little in attack
- a questionable forward pack as far as go forward is concerned

That basically sees us out.

Yes, it's a mess...but, there are 27 rounds in the comp...so there's still a chance of making the 8.

The draw is a total joke.
It's a wonder the NRL is not embarrassed to present it as fair.

Our style of play doesn't seem suited to the current style of refereeing.

We'd have a better chance of making the 8 with players who understand that possession of the ball is vital.

I thought this at the start of the year we still have a great 17
just havnt had luck with injuries and suspensions
we could be sitting 4 from 5 with the side we have placed with a rookie bench every game

had we had walker we would be most likely 4 from 5
rest of the comp hasn’t really got any better

we just self implode and loose games ourselves by being the most penalised side and worst for completions

if it clicks and we have a fit side we may have a late run at the finals again

It's too early to write us outta the 8. Currently a heap of teams are jumping us because they have a better PD and/or they've just had a bye.

Avoiding the spoon's looking like an uphill battle now. But... if we beat a mixture of teams over the next month or so from the Broncos (big if... sure), the Riff (who are shyte this season), Dragons (we have a serious chance there) and Dolphins (again... serious chance) then we could be sitting a LOT better going into the round 10 bye.

Walker and Cheese will then return what... rounds 12 to 15 or so? (With Collins). Not expecting them to be our saviours. However I reckon having more troops available will give us options.

Cheese is a classic example there. I'm not expecting much outta him but having him in the mix will mean we're not scraping the barrel for utilities/injuries. Nothing against ZDC (he's actually been alright and I'm glad he's getting a crack!!!) However if Watson were a utility then he coulda filled the gap during Rads' absence or stepped in for Collins when he did his MCL.

Cheese is a bit like those US tariffs. His absence might not impact us too much directly but there's a lot of flow-on effects to our roster when you take-out just one top-13 player.

Mate it’s great to stay positive but we are where we are on the ladder because we have lost 4/5 and our PD is what it is because we have lost 4/5. Yes we might turn it around however we are where we are to this point because we can’t win games and we can’t win games because we cant hold onto the ball and hence build any pressure what so ever.
