Marty offers something that is currently in short supply in the Roosters: intelligence.

This article is a great highlight of what out props go through to play each week.

there are others, who are carrying injuries, who play week in week out with needles.... Why? because they have a drive to play, for themselves, for their mates, for their team.

Seems like he has a similar attitude to Fitzy I know while He was playing he was trying to get a lot of blokes to clean up their diet.. Can't hurt to have another influence like that at the club.

He doesn't hurt them enough considering his physique. He needs to be angrier, more aggressive. Isaac Luke is half his size but gee he impresses me with his toughness and will to win the contest.

With the injury and surgery he has been through in the off season, the fact he is playing is enough of a wonder in it's self !
